Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

To take this window in isolation, we are ok for PSR, surely?

We sold Onana for 50m.
Dobbin 10m
Godfrey 12m

We paid for Ndiaye 4m
Obey 4m
Tim 2m

We have plenty of PSR wiggle room, the problem would be we need to keep cash due to our crippling interest payments on loans.
Do we not also have the payments due on the transfers the last 3-4 seasons? We only pay small up front so then we have to pay the following seasons. For instance we would have still had to pay off Onana, McNeill.

Yes, but we also have incoming payments due.

So far, Net spend wise we are 30m up this window, 40m last window and 20m the season before that.

Thats roughly 90m "in our pocket".

But due to PSR and current cash flow issues that wouldn't have changed this window even with Freidkin (or anyone else) in.

It would have made the future more secure of course.
Well it could have because , TFG could have paid Leeds the down payment fee. Its would still be broken down over the 5yrs regarding the accounts

Absolute nonsense.

Two league season scenarios…

Scenario 1 - 38 nil/nil draws.
Scenario 2 - 38 games where you win every game 6-5.

Which scenario gives you the league title with a positive GD, and which could put you into a relegation battle?

Strikers win you everything. It’s why we’re in the position we’re in now.
I’ll send on your reply to SAF,Pep and Arteta
It’s no coincidence that the team with the least or second least goals conceded nearly always wins the PL
The special one was also a firm believer in this tactic
But I’m sure you know better

Everton draw up three-man striker shortlist

According to TEAMtalk, Everton have drawn up a three-man striker shortlist in case Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Beto and Neal Maupay leave.

Calvert-Lewin is in the last year of his contract and was in talks to sign for Newcastle United earlier this summer.

As reported extensively on this blog today, Beto appears to have interest from Atalanta, while it's well known that Maupay wll be allowed to leave if a good offer comes in.

It's against that backdrop that TEAMtalk are keeping their eyes on three frontmen.

They are Chelsea's Armando Broja.

Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah.

And Almeria's Largie Ramazani.

There's further transfer claims in the story, too.

38 1-0 wins with no player scoring more than 4 or 5 goals in the season will also win you the league
Just saying

Last guy is 5'6" and barely played up front and doesn't score. How's he even a consideration for a PL striker

we’re not trying to win the league though are we? Having a goalscorer always means you have a chance to nick a few points where maybe you’re not expected to. That’s what keeps you up, winning games, you have to score to win
