Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Never said i agree with it. Just that looks like whats going to happen.

Especially with doucore being off the boil
I dont rate doucoure, but at least he gets some goals, more than McNeil. I think dyche won’t change, it will be McNeil, doucoure, Harrison behind the striker.

I do think With these new owners, dyche will be under pressure to show he can change

Would hate to lose him, I really like him as a person and player. We'd miss him on both fronts but understand if he wants to leave.
I like him and would much prefer he signed…but to be blunt he’s provided very little value over the last three years to justify his previous wage let alone a decent pay rise, so if he’s turning his nose up at an improved contract it would be better to get the money in before June 30 and move on.

We'll definitely sell someone before the end of June.

I'm convinced It'll be Branthwaite for whatever we can get, if we don't sell Calvert-Lewin, or Onana.

Man Utd will be dragging their feet, knowing full well we need to sell.

Can't see us shifting Godfrey+Maupay, or anyone else for what we'd need prior the deadline. Nobody is in a rush to sign those 2. Not sure how much we'd need for Douglas Lukjanciks.

In regard to having g to sell.
Weren’t Chelsea allowed some leeway when new owners came in? They admitted some bad accounting from the previous regime and moved on without a penalty.

I really hope you're wrong regarding Branthwaite being the one that goes early. Not just because I think he's the biggest talent but because it would be those smug gits that get him.

We'll sell him if nobody else is able to be sold.

If we aren't in the position that we're in, Man Utd don't lowball as they have.

if Dom isn't going to sign, i'd sell. It's basically pure profit and we really can't afford to lose any more players for free. It's a shame as he's a the perfect striker for a Dyche team, and i'd hoped that given the club supported him and stuck by him over the last few years - Dyche especially gave him the time to come back without any pressure.

I'm not sure. We have been very staunch in our approach thus far and regarding how the fans regard Branthwaite and the club currently...it would be madness to do so only to sell at a cut price...surely?

I’m not keen to lose DCL but if he’s showing no indication of signing and there are suitors ready to go this seems like a quick PSR solution that would enhance our negotiating position around Branthwaite and Onana. Especially if there’s a possible deal to be done for Abraham.

Better losing him (and Godfrey) this summer than next.

For me neither are in our 3 most hardest to replace players (Pickford, Tarks, Branrhwaite).

I don't think the club will allow themselves to intentionally breach again. It would dictate a point deduction - with one already potentially hanging next season from a deferral last season.

A breach dictates point deduction - and mitigation is pissed away when it's repeat, and when the club will have to admit they declined the chance to comply with the rules that they agreed to.

"But he was worth more" won't be accepted, as it wasn't accepted when we gave that reason for declining PSVs bid for Branthwaite. It'll be seen as reckless risk. A gamble.

I've no doubt they're desperately trying to line up sales behind the scenes of Onana etc prior this months deadline. If they can't sell him, or Calvert-Lewin, or others (academy players?) to meet the shortfall - it stands to reason to me that they'll sell Branthwaite for whatever they can get.
