Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Seems Kalvin Phillips is the one Dyche wants according to the Echo. Not sure though I would sign him even if he returns to his best. Seems Doucs might play a deeper role and with Gana, Garner and the Villa lad why would we need an expensive player sit on the bench

Philips was sooooo bad at west ham. Totally stank the gaff out.

Surely they can find better

To have any chance of getting him up to speed needed to sign him at the start of the window (he was being linked in May). If it's a last day job then again it will be him hardly playing in pre season and Man. City's first few matches.

Another CM is needed though.

The lad has had a rough time and a nightmare loan to WHU , suppose it’s about him and what he wants his future to be like . If this is true you’d imagine he’s made it clear he wants another crack at it and is willing to work . The fact that he’s potentially willingly to work under dyche knowing the physical demands feels like a good sign .

This club is in an area where as long as the money is right buying/loaning players who’ve had blips in there career or young up and coming players would seem to be our plan .

Be a reclamation project too far for me. Know we can't go after world beaters but there's a worrying thread with the likes of Ndiaye, Lindstrom, Phillips, Broja even Gnonto to an extent, that they are all decent players but all had bad or non-existent seasons last year. You can't just place all your hope in players who are off-form and low in confidence turning it around.
