Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Luis deal would be doable then with the payments spread out. Asprilla still young and would expect to jump at the chance playing in the premier league

Yeah I really like the looks of Asprilla, doesn't fit the profile we have been after for a winger though, he's not a burner more a James Rodriguez type actually.

Luis in the very little I've seen of him does look quality though.

This hindsight stuff is rubbish. Last year we had Branthewaite as a young unproven centre half that would be given some game time. We didn't need another young centre half at that stage and even if we did there would probably be 30 players of a similar profile and age to O'Brien who would be available for the same fee and there's a large element of luck in predicting who will make it. It's only clear in hindsight.
And of course while we might be asking why we didn’t just sign O’Brien for 1m when he was still unproven, every other club in football is asking themselves same question about Branthwaite.

Believe he went to Lyon in a Textor sweet heart deal - he was also on loan at a Textor team in Belgium the year before. Palace fans were a bit miffed with the deal as hed done well out in Belgium and looked really good during preseason in 23. Think the 1 mill fee was a bit contentious for them, they felt he was worth more and probably would have got it only for Textor.

Believe Palace have a sell on clause mind.

Just to clarify, they do. 20%.

Transfer update for Sunday the 28th July 2024

Everton have reported agreed a deal for a defender. The player in question is Lyon defender Jake O’Brien and, according to Footmercato, Everton have reached full agreement over a €18million (£15million) deal.

O’Brien, who has been a ‘real revelation’ for Lyon since joining in a €1million (£845,000) deal from Crystal Palace, is reportedly set to call time on his stint in France after just one year.

With his patented ‘here we go’, Fabrizio Romano claims a deal has been agreed for the ex Palace academy star to join Everton and not West Ham

Everton are considering a new approach for Armando Broja amid interest in the Chelsea striker this summer, Caught Offsidereports.

Everton are convinced they can finalise an agreement with Willy Gnonto this summer as they weigh up an improved transfer offer, according to Caught Offside.

Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Manchester United’s hunt for a new centre-back as they continue to be linked with both Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt and Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite.

Speaking for his latest Daily Briefing column, Romano explained that there isn’t really an update to speak of at the moment, with Man Utd having two bids rejected for Branthwaite, and with Everton still holding out for as much as £70m, which the Red Devils won’t pay.

the caught offside ones are dodgy as

I'm not sure how anyone could be opposed to summer business thus far.
Not opposed to the signings but looking forward to signing some players who will start next season. At the moment I don’t see any changes from the team that started the end of last season.
Only Harrison will get significant game time before Christmas out of the new signings.

People saying Leeds asking for 28m for Gnonto. I want the lad but he's not worth that anymore, so if that's true or round about, we really should move on.
Think someone on here said that Leeds would owe a big sell on fee to the Italian club they signed Willy from, hence a bigger fee demanded
