Think we're gonna be playing a lot of youth this season with the 5 subs rule to be fair.

We've got a 25 man squad 1st team and expecting some more outs.

It's nothing to do with "playing youth" but we have no striker backup (yet) so he should be going nowhere until we get some. We gave Gordon a chance so why not Dobbin.

Maybe it points to Lampard fully expecting another striker to be brought in.

Say Barkley buy for £1 million with an add on of £10 million if you stay up, increased to £15 million if you finish 10th or above

Gilmour on loan( no loan fee just his wages paid in full by you ) with an obligation to buy on 1/7/2023 for £15 million if you stay up.

The players in this scenario aren’t the issue it’s the type of structuring of the deal that interests me

Thank you. Lost count of the arguments I had with people on here and Twitter last season when Rondon was the only striker we had available with people saying we should start Dobbin instead. May as well have advocated playing Gray up front, same difference
