Don’t want Gomes in the championship, huge wages and he’d get mugged off every week by anyone who put a tackle in on him. Doucoure I suspect gets bought by a mid table prem side. Iwobi is probably one of very few high earners who stays.

Two schools of thought here, lets take it a step further:

1: Sign the best CF, CM and CB (if able) from the chmpionship this year (and perhaps others). Bearing in mind they will be dropping a division (Mitrovic) or their clubs would ask top fees and the players themselves would seek a premium

2: Sign the most effective spine of young players to suit Lampards system and develop in the championship. Then if we go up first time theyre suited to the next stage of their development in the premier league.


Bearing in mind the best players at Derby under Lampard were Mount and Tomori, I'd be inclined to go with the 2nd option.

Which shows how poor a standard the championship is as that's not a very good team at all.

Sell DCL, Pickford, Richarlison, Mina, Gomes, Allan, Gbamin to cover any drop in revenue / reduce the wage bill.

Theres a reason someone like Brennan Johnson can't get into that team. It offers everything and would easily beat us no problem, it has everything we don't. Nicholls is the best keeper outside of the PL and no worse than Pickford imo. Tomori and Worrall are both better than any of our CB hence why we have extensively scouted Worrall according to reports. The 2 wing backs can both attack and defend. That midfield is both solid and quick and in Wilson there is someone who has a trick and creativity to link up with the front men. The 2 upfront have scored like 70+ goals between them. In a one off game that team easily beats us imo.
Also I'm looking forward to seeing a midfield of Doucoure, Davis, and Iwobi in the Championship, some laughs to be had there mate.

I'm not sure we will, I actually think we will stay up (just, although we probably don't deserve to) and most of those players listed in that team are actually going to end up in the PL next season through automatic promotion or the playoffs.

Actually, Mitrovic is proven in the Prem... Problem is, he's proven to be shabbite. It would be a dumb signing if we went down, would prefer Brereton Diaz.
