Why do we need 24 players?

2nd time ive asked you this but havent seen an answer...

With a 20 man matchday squad these days any less than 24 players is inviting big trouble.

A Matchday squad will require 11 players, plus 9 subs.

So I would say it would be prudent if we had at least 4 players to cover for injury and suspension.

With Kenny gone I'd be looking at brining Spence in who's supposed transfer to Spurs has come to nohting.

Boro looking for £10M+.

…I like Spence too, it’ll be very interesting if we are in for another RB. if we are, we might as well sell Patterson as it will be a real indicator that Lampard doesn’t rate him.

Hopefully we now go with what we have. Coleman and Patterson sharing games next season.

Well yes, 24 is a little low, but we have "some" yoot we could turn to if needed, but if any of the yoot are knocking on the first team door they really should be on loan getting first team experience.

Oh I'm fully aware that we'd need to get people in but we need to do that anyway. As in I don't see it as "if we get rid of Allan and Keane we need to bring in 2 players", I see it that we need to bring in 2 players regardless because those 2 aren't good enough. We need new players in the starting 11 but there's no reason to be splurging on backup players to replace Rondon and Gomes for example because a player better than those 2 should be cheap and easy to find as they are just that bad.

I'm not saying I'm advocating for a signing like this but as an example we could sell Gomes for as low as £5m, look at Lingard and bloody Danny Drinkwater all on a free for basically the same as what we pay Gomes and our squad would be far better because of how poor Gomes is. You could say the same for Rondon and get in Welbeck on a free to replace him. Again I'm not saying any of these would be good signings, more so the fact that there are literally free players out there that are better than what we have, on massive wages.

There are some very cheap players out there that we'll be able to get to improve this squad.

Your post is obviously a wind up, frees still want wages and signing on fee’s and some want 2/3 yr deals even in their 30’s.
It’s not happening obviously but drinkwater witt wages and a singing on fee could still cost us 8mil next year on our books. Zinchenko if we could get him, would probably cost 10.

Why not just list the Under 12 team as well?

There will obviously be sone coming’s and going’s, but some of the extra should be from the Academy.

Simms could be one, Gibson possibly another, particularly if Branthwaite goes on loan. I guess there could be others Onyango etc.

It feels like either or both of Keane and Mina could be off. I guess we will only go for another CB if they both leave.

Gbamin can’t play for us can he?

Midfield is incredibly light. We need at least two good additions there.

If you READ the minimum is 26 outside of the youngsters coming up.

Theres way more when those are factored in.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he didn't include Lonergan who has never played a minute for us, or Tarkowski who literally doesn't play for us. Just a hunch.

I mean I literally posted the list of players above, yet its me that cant read.

I didnt include Lonergan cos his status is unknown atm.
