We already have a replacement ready for Gordon. Good.

The website also gives us an answer why we may want Adams and Broja and why we may have Batshuayi on our list.

We should get that Lucas Boye in from Reading. I had him in my master league on Pro Evo and he ended-up better than Ronaldo ?

It would be devastating to lose Gordon at this stage of his career, but we are in no position on or off the field at the present moment to turn our noses up at this kind of money.

£50 million is mind-blowing money. It's pure profit for FFP accounting which will do wonders for our current problems and will give us far more room to manoeuvre than the Richarlison sale did.

On the field, Gordon is a rapidly improving player but he is still miles and miles away from being top-quality. I'm pretty sure that all of the goals he's scored for us so far have been deflected in or deflected in off him from someone else's shot - whilst they all count the same it shows he has no consistent shooting ability at this moment to beat PL goalkeepers.

This is potentially a life-jacket we are being thrown here. We might look like the world's biggest idiots in a few years time if Gordon becomes one of the league's best but that is far from certain, what is far more certain is if we don't improve our forward options we have got a major problem.

Not Rooney level maybe close to Barkley.

Watford aren’t letting him go for that cheap, he’s the main man there. They’ll let us have Sarr for about £25m though
If we’d acted sooner probably could of picked him up for 15M, word is that’s he’a signing for Leeds on a loan to buy.

What do we reckon then, two more signings, one being a loan and one a permanent?
If so a striker and another CM that are better than we’ve got and get rid of Gomes or Gbamin.
That would be a decent window albeit last minute!
