Everton Summer transfers 2021

Well I think with the right manager all of our attacking players could show more. But we didn't hire that guy.
I was really excited by the Kean signing and actually think he could do ok under Benitez, had everything that has gone before at this club not done so. The reality, as far as I see it, though, is that Kean is done at the club.

Posturing over the PSG loan offer and cutting our nose off to spite our face gets us nowhere. Our best hope is that another suitor pipes up in this window so we actually gain some leverage, otherwise take the loan offer and reinvest the cash in the squad.

Is a new RB actually a 'priority' I'd say the priority is getting more goals into the team. Should go for Danny Ings maybe.
And play a 2 up front? Otherwise we’re just swapping DCL’s goals for Ings’ goals and we’re no further forward as a team.

RB, RW and probably at least one more CM should all be higher priorities than a striker, at least one with immediate first-team aspirations.

So according to you kean is going to refuse to play for 3 years destroy his development and probably his career because he cant get a move to psg?

I very much doubt that. The only way a scenario like the one you just said is when a already established player has 1 year left to go on his contract. Even then they still end up playing.

What will happen is he'll not get his move, have a cob on for a few weeks and then realise that he has to start pulling his socks up. Whether he can be at a consistent level in training and on the pitch to be successful at everton or not is a different matter but thats what will happen.
No mate, read the subsequent posts

There isn't going to be much cash from a loan. Which is why we'd like to just sell him obviously.

And I’d like a roll in the hay with Olivia Munn but that’s almost certainly not going to happen.

We all want a perm transfer for a chunky fee but the only club that looks likely to give it to us wants a loan only. People want to blame Brands or suggest the club is soft but the reality is we brought him in as a young player who we thought we could reasonably expect to either do well or make a modest profit on given his age and obvious raw talent; Plan A went out of the window pretty quickly and a crazy set of economic circumstances has unfolded which means that most of the type of clubs we’d expect to take him off our hands in the event of Plan B simply can’t afford to do so.

But this is why you just bring him back then. That's our leverage. We need depth and he's got 3 years to run so bring him back and use him. And believe that the new guy you hired is capable of getting something from him.

If we are serious about it, that's sound. The threat/real intention to bring him back and play him needs to be there, otherwise it's a hollow threat to PSG and they can sit tight and wait til the end of the window

If we really are prepared to have him here and play him, that's probably in our best interests. Pointless bringing him back, sitting him on the bench all season and letting his value diminish though
