With Seamus having a mortgage on RB for at least another 10 years, I cannot see that position as a priority. With Jonjoe* as back up, we probably have the PL's best two RBs

Totally agree, we need a RB to give us balance. We have Digne on the left and there is only Coleman at his best that can give us that balance but he cant do that for 38 games a season anymore.
If its right that Benitez wants to play 4-2-3-1, then the RB would be getting forward and one of the DM's dropping into the back 4 to cover.

We are sill being linked strongly with Dumfries, PSV want £25m.

According to reports Palace willing to sell Wilf for offers over £35 million.

If Benitez goes 4231 he would be a great signing considering he can play both LW/RW and Richarlison will miss the first few games of the season due to being a selfish sod.

With Olise available around £10m and Pereira around £15m, I'd far rather buy both of them and swerve Zaha off. We need more than one extra wide attacker.

Plus I cannot abide Zaha.

Are people still screaming for Zaha? It was too late last year, going for him now is idiotic. Super high wages for a player closing in on the end who wasnt that good to begin with. His best season based on goals and assists is barely better than Mirallas best season for us. Not worth a big fee and big wage.

We need two tbh - Benard and Iwobi cant be relied upon so realistically having a Zaha who can cover both flanks + someone like Olise/Pereira gives us much more options.

Ultimately its a squad game and we need to start fleshing out the squad with quality.

If we can offload Benard & IwobI this summer we have to bring in a mixture of potential and experienced quality.

For me its the most important position, I mean we have very few options in that area, all other areas we have options, mostly not great 1s, but if we do nothing else this summer we need to buy a RB.

One of the biggest issues last season. Was not having quality to bring on, when the front 3 weren’t performing.

We need Richarlison to sit out a few games if he’s not playing well and the same for DCL if he’s not scoring goals.

We need 5 quality players to cover 3 potions. If you include James. Bring in the quality young RW and for me Zaha wouid be perfect, to cover across all positions. And iwobi( if we can’t sell) or Gordon as 6th choice.

Some fans seem happy for us to sign Ings but not Zaha, who’s slightly younger but would cost a bit more.
