Who has made that assumption?! Every day this thread is you windmilling punches at about 20 straw men. You just seem to want to be contrarian for the sake of it.

Bottom line: We can’t afford to shell out big for a well-known player. That leaves us the choice of young unknowns, old has-beens or loans. IF this bid is true we’re bidding for the former, who we think can do a job for the team now. Given your insistence that the current management be given a chance, why wouldn’t you back this move?!

Again WHU signed Coufal for £5.6 million and he was experienced and one of the best fullbacks in the league last season so the notion that we can only afford to sign kids is tosh.

And I dont back the move because it means Coleman stays our first choice RB and he is bang average - tell me what the definition of insanity is? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

So persist with Coleman, Iwobi maybe even Gomes/Davies when we get injuries and dont be moaning and calling for the managers sacking when we finish mid table because these players aint good enough over a 38 game season.

Yet we’ve started the season and had a comfortable home win and a respectable draws against a million miles an hour, doped up Leeds team, with Coleman playing in both games.

Coleman started last season very well then reverted to type - he's finished as a starting 11 player yet some still cling on hope based off a handful of games, a gurn every now and again and some good ole rallying calls after a tonking.

My problem with Iwobi is these will probably be his only 2 good games so we should sell whilst his stock is high. I can't see Gomes going anywhere unless it's a loan as he is on a good number here. Keane is too easily put off his game in my opinion and with crowds back it will only get worse. Kenny and Delph will probably hang around until their contracts expire at the end of the season. Kenny will likely end up in a lower division as you say and I can see there being no takers for Delph at all.
Gomes may be ok pulling th strings in a fast counter attacking team.

I doubt he is going anywhere so they will probably try him there.

I doubt Keane or Iwobi are going anywhere.

The most likely to leave are Kean, Rodriguez and Kenny.
