Everton Summer transfers 2021

How do you know any of this? Not saying you're wrong but exactly how do you know these things?

It's been well documented by reliable journalists with links to the club.

Fab Romano was over it - and he's as reliable as they come.
The Athletic were reporting it all summer.
I'm pretty sure Andy Hunter also reported the same (that he was a target).

Btw, the Athletic are the ones who have also run with this story about Patterson, as well as the Mirror.

We were 100% in for the lad (Dumfries). He was also clearly one of our top targets but ultimately we didn't have the ability to spend the money (or the money).

Would much rather take a punt on young hungry players, rather than throwing a wedge at some over the hill cast-off looking for a payday. Even if it means persisting with Coleman as our first choice right back for now.

The new lad will get opportunities because Coleman won’t be available every week, as history shows and he can’t be any worse in that position than Holgate.

You are proffessing constantly to "Back your manager "
Deal with it David.

This is what you wanted.....right ?
Number 1 - I accept Benitez and will give him time to get it right. I'm not saying he's infallible
Number 2 - disagreeing with a choice of player doesn't mean he isn't being backed.

So Rangers fans who have seen all his games value him at £30M? but you (seen him what? Once or twice?) reckon £5M is bad business.
OK?
Ha Ha.

You actually agree he's worth £30M - a teenager with 17 games to his name in an ale house league.

Not to say we aren't right to go for this lad, but what if it does end up being £10m+?

Is that when it becomes much more than just taking a chance on a young lad?
