Everton Summer transfers 2021

Well I definitely wouldn't be giving him a new contract! I'm just saying I can't imagine it being very easy to get rid of him even if we wanted to. We'd surely want a fee (like it or not he's still in the squad every week and club captain) and he's on something like £70k a week. I just don't see there being too many takers at that cost.
It might not be easy to do I agree. I actually thought his deal ended this summer so that's why I was a bit confused at first.

You have one of them as cover for Koulibaly. Holgate as cover for Godfrey.

Holgate rarely plays CB as we have no decent RB. Hes the best RCB in a 3 as well + you need him in the squad as cover at the very least.

Posters seem to be very attached to Mina and Keane...i really rate Mina but we should always be looking to upgrade players.
So does Carlo ,they are his first choice CBs at the moment
Not saying we should not upgrade ,I would take Koubailly in a heartbeat but Holgate will be the one to be sold if we are selling anyone

Decisions were made, like loaning out Kean, Kenny, Walcott and Tosun, I personally think those decisions were correct.

I know Kean has scored a shedful, but its likely he would still be kissing pine here, rightly or wrongly.
Tosun offers nothing at all. Walcott very little. Kenny I can't see having a future here. Kean is quality but for whatever reason it hasn't worked out for him here

So 49,663 pound sterling a week net so 100k a week gross according to those figures
Not too bad for a free transfer

£100k a week for 2 seasons while the new RB/RWB and perhaps a RW/RF settle in seems decent for a free transfer adaptable player who Ancelotti knows and who has bags of successful experience.

I hope we also put an offer to Ramos as well :)

Ramos and Koubailly
Now there is a pairing to boil the urine of kopites all over Norway

Have a feeling Iwobi may end up going abroad to a German/Italian type club myself.

Still young and an international player think his agent will do enough bluff to get him a move.

Think if someone offers around £15 million we would cut our losses.
Nah mate not a chance. If he wants the move it'll be 25m minimum from us. Maybe a 15m move with 10m in performance related targets or something but no way it'll be that low, hence why I think he's here for a while yet.

If we go for Koulibaly it would surely be to play with Godfrey.

That would mean one of Mina and Keane being sold. He'd be an upgrade on both of those players.

He's a month older than VVD, so i suppose the question would be similar to whether you would take VVD (whose also 30 before next season) at a cost of around £40mil + enormous wages?

On the positive side we get a superstar centre back for 3 or 4 seasons (who will decline). Godfrey would probably improve as well through playing alongside him.

Id counter that with Tapsoba at Leverkusen being available for £44mil buyout fee who displays alot of the same characteristics as Koulibaly and is only 22.

There are others like Kounde (Sevilla) who have everything though are a little small at 5'11 (but a Cahill type leap). He'd cost about £50mil, down from £65mil ish City were quoted last summer.

Also Bastoni at Inter who is amazing. Both of those players can play the conservative cover role with Godfrey moving forwards to snap the attacker.

If it was me, id go for the younger options...for the kind of money and where we want to be then we need to go for someone top class who will become world class...not someone on the downward slope.
Koulibally and Keane it would be. He's Carlos main man.

Signing an average player because he can be average in two positions we need is a very Everton move. We should be nowhere near Vazquez. If he played for Real Betis instead no one would even think about it.
