Everton Summer transfers 2021

Good morning blues, with today being the penultimate day before the window ‘slams shut’ Marcel and his Merry men need to get on with it. There’s a lot of familiar links in the press and I’ve summarised same below. With GOT potentially heading for meltdown and a supply of fresh sheets at the mercy of the bank holiday, things couldn’t be poised any better.

Everton, Brighton, Leeds and Crystal Palace are all in the race to sign Manchester United and Wales winger Daniel James, 23, who is free to leave Old Trafford with 36-year-old Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo set to arrive from Juventus. (Star)

Everton are in talks over a deal to sign Venezuela striker Salomon Rondon from Chinese side Dalian Professional. Toffees boss Rafael Benitez managed the 31-year-old in China and at Newcastle. (Sky Sports)

Sky Sports
claim that Everton ware interested in signing Arsenal’s Maitland-Niles before the transfer deadline on Tuesday.

The Daily Mail add that Everton have now made an approach to Arsenal in the hope of bringing Maitland-Niles to Goodison Park.

Everton are yet to reach an agreement for Luis Diaz but a deal could be possible, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Telegraph reported last week that the Porto winger could cost around £25 million and his salary remains one of the major stumbling blocks.

Everton could be the unlikely financial beneficiaries of Premier League rivals West Ham following a late transfer development ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Ex-Everton playmaker and Croatia international Nikola Vlasic appears set to sign for West Ham in a €30m deal for CSKA Moscow man.

Rafael Benitez has admitted that he was initially ready to let Fabian Delph leave Everton, but the midfielder has become "an option" once more. (Echo)

Everton manager Rafael Benitez would like to add Dwight McNeil from Burnley with Moise Kean set to complete a move back to Juventus, according to a report.

The Daily Mail cites Fabrizio Romano as claiming that Everton and Juventus reached an agreement for Kean over the weekend and the deal is set to be announced.

Everton are still hot on the heels of Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson, reckons a former Ibrox star. After Patterson was ruled out of the Celtic game for self isolating, Goodison News quotes Boyd as telling Sky Sports:

It’s a massive blow, not ideal preparations [for Rangers].

“It might be something that Rangers have to deal with as I’m led to believe the bid from Everton is not going away, their interest is still there.”

Everton are in talks about a return to Juventus for striker Moise Kean, according to a report.

The 21-year-old still has three years left on a five-year deal with the Blues, having left Juventus in 2019 for an initial fee of £25.1m.

BBC Sport claim it is not yet clear whether the deal for the Italy international will be a loan with an obligation to buy.

Juventus will be short of a forward, and have additional funds, once Cristiano Ronaldo completes his return to Manchester United.

Hearts have made a move to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite on loan, it has been claimed. The 19-year-old defender played 57 minutes in the Blues' Carabao Cup victory over Huddersfield Town and is being backed for a bright future in the game.

Branthwaite spent the second half of last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers and could now be set for another move.

The Daily Mail, as cited by Edinburgh Live, report thatHearts boss Robbie Neilson is targeting the Everton youngster as he looks to bolster his defence.

James wages has nothing to do with the Diaz deal. Porto are insisting the two transactions are completely independent of each other. In other words they want to shaft us on the Diaz deal, and then they want to shaft us again on the James deal. It's what Porto do.

But no. Let's blame James for this too
And we’ll probably bend over too.

I’m not blaming James mate, I’d love to keep hold of him. I think he’s class.

If we get Luis Diaz, Rondon and Lingard that will make a great transfer window.

2 of 3 and that’d be decent considering the other new transfers that have come in.
