Haha! I’ve seen the website you took that figure from, it’s an absolute joke.
It also suggests he took a 50 percent wage cut to go on LOAN to Newcastle. Spoiler alert - that is nonsense. He was on at least 58k at Newcastle and he certainly didn’t take a huge cut to go and live in China.

I’ve also just read an article saying he was demanding way over £100k a week from Newcastle which is why they didn’t sign him but I’m sure he then decided to accept £28k a week to go to China instead would make loads of sense. And you know £3million a year isn’t £28 grand a week don’t you.

I don’t get why people are fuming about Rondon. DCL starts if he’s fit. He’s there to come on in last 10 mins to give DCL a breather. He’s experienced and will chip in with a few goals whilst being happy on the bench.

It’s a sensible signing for us.

Loan with option/obligation rarely happens between English clubs, it’s usually a straight loan or straight cash. Last one I can think of involving us was when we got Howard on loan from United and made it permanent just before we played them in that 4-2 game
