Everton Summer transfers 2021

Yeah but football isn't the real world. I think it's completely wrong to compare it to normal business. Outside of sport, no other industry has businesses where millions follow its fortunes on a weekly basis.

No one is asking for sensitive information that would effect our competitiveness, but a general update should be expected in a sporting context.

How many PL DoF's do this?

The lack of communication from anyone in command at that club stinks to high heaven. No one has explained tthe situation this summer and they have a massive brass 'kin neck offering long suffering fans a transfer window where £1.8M was spent and one which AGAIN a right back wasn't brought in.

They love to send you emails about the latest 'kin tat they sell in the club shop and about how the stadium is creeping along, but notrhing about why we cratered that last window just gone.

That chugger CEO would go to the opening of an envelope and is forever firing off messages into our inboxes about sttuff...so we can expect from her a full explanation to fans who's cash has kept that club afloat long before Moshiri tipped up....cant we?
Spot on. Probably wouldn’t have been half as disappointing/frustrating if there’d have been abit of communication to supporters and managing of our expectations.
But then perhaps they needed to keep their cards close to their chest for not wanting to give an advantage in negotiations to potential suitors of our players?!
But I suppose we’ll never really know and we’ll have to continue guessing!

As @Jebus_lives stated last night, £12M would represent a fee for a substitute who's started 7 games for Rangers equal to that clubs' highest ever fee clawed in.

If you're saying Everton were prepared to pay that, then someone today must be heaving a huge sigh of relief they dont have buyers remorse.

The panic is over. We wont need a new RB until next summer as we'll make do and mend and we'll be onto other targets.

We dodged a bullet here. Rangers and Gerrard had us lined up as the mugs who'd bail them out of failing to make the CL KO stages. They had the media all over it inflating a substitutes importance. Everton almost fell for it. That wont be revisited, no matter how much the player is whining about it. He should focus on getting good enough for Rangers in his own position and his own league, which he clearly isn't yet.
Definitely need to walk away from a deal that sees us paying potentially paying £12m for him..

How many PL DoFs are there?

Monchi (oh what could have been), did a press conference on deadline day and specifically addressed the Kounde situation.

Txiki regularly does interviews and comments on the Man City website.

The amount of stuff I get off her has reached stalker levels! lol

I mean Monchi isn't in the PL so irrelevant.

Don't really read to much from Man City but what's he going to say anyway? "Hey, we have loads of money every year, nothing to see here."

DoF's in England aren't very public with their strategy and it's not going to change.

Looking at how the transfer window played out mate, I'm getting a bit concerned that we have actually breached the Profit and Sustainability rules. I had a projection that we just snuck in there under, but what we have seen makes me think we got battered by a stick by the PL - we would have been in touch with them in March in regard to projected losses over the three year period. So what we might be seeing is an attempt to look like we are behaving ourselves, in stay of judgement of any sanction the PL might decide to impose. I'm speculating and anaylsing of course, but it might take a rabbit out of the hat - i cant see for us not to be in breach and our behavior indicates we could be.

Arsenal spent £150m pal. Would you rather be in their position?

Dry your eyes / sheets, whichever suits you best.
That's not the point we're very short in a few positions and haven't addressed these issues having spent virtually nothing when we desperately need these players

I don't see the upside in spending no money and ending up with no RB/LB and RW/LW cover

If I’ve read this correctly, last year £39m of our losses where due to stadium developement costs, which this year can be moved around the accounts as we now have planning permission.
also says an additional £16m in this years account (to June 21) would have been affected in a similar way.

Possibly one for the stadium thread rather than transfers but as it affects FFP etc….

Rafael is a free agent at the moment.
Could be stop gap until the end of the season? Knows the north west
Can play left back also if needed?
