Depends what formation we play. If we are going with one up top no decent striker is going to join to play third fiddle to DCL and Richalrison. If it’s a two up top then yes we need another two effectively if Kean and King leave.

I think one of Mina & Keane will still be here. As will one of the midfielders. Most likely siggurdsson, Witt the talk of extending his deal by a year. Adds 4.5 into the coffers straight away. Which is a 90k a week salary

I think Keane will want to see out his new contract and i cant see anyone coughing up £30mil or whatever we paid for him.

Really incredible that he got that extension but hopefully im wrong and hes sold.

Mina is of course far superior but has 2 years left and on high wages.

Hopefully one moves this summer and the other next summer.

Priority imo is RB + CM + CB

Sign 3 top quality players and we'll be a different side.

While we definitely need a couple of new attackers. As we have nobody near the level of DCL or Richarlison to call on , if they aren’t performing. To replace them fir a few games or at least put them under pressure. I just can’t see ancelotti playing a new RW, Richarlison left DCL central and James behind them.

Maybe he builds a team without James. And if he’s available, he works him into the team

With an attacking right back + new super centre mid we'd probably be ok attacking wise.

Creativity from the full backs and 2 centre mids would be enough i think as long as the defence and midfield were solid and well drilled.

I think we'd be better off going for the all round quality midfield players. Those who can do everything.

I've said for a few weeks its either Richarlison or DCL up top for me they cant play in a 2 together.

Ings seems to play the two up top role well alongside Che adams - something like this would look good for me if he kept with a 442:

Move Richarlison into a more wide role as his best quality at present is his work rate rather than his finishing. Bring in a RB and also a RW with pace and quality on the right with James an option to rotate when fit as lets be honest we cant build a team around him with his injury record.

Keane will not be sold
Kean will not be coming back as he does not want to ,plus we can make a good profit on him
I said from day 1 Kean will be a fantastic player ,it seems though that will not be for us

I think a few unpopular decisions need to be made. Like you I can’t see DCL and Richarlison playing together as both aren’t good enough on the ball and want to do the same thing which is run into the box and finish chances. One needs to be sold, and my view is it’s probably got to be Richarlison. Use the money then to invest strongly in two fast wide players and cover for the three midfield positions.

Richarlison is wasted out wide. And even more so in a 442. His biggest weakness is his ball retention. Add into the fact that also Doucoure and Allan can also give the ball away. That for me would be a midfield that wouldn’t function.

I think Richarlison and DCL can play together. Ok last night they both where poor. But with The right players I think it can work. They terrorised Liverpool in that last 20mins after DCL came on. That’s not to say they both need to improve. I wouldn’t go for Ings. Good player but 29 and Southampton would probably want 25mil.

I’d look for another striker who offers something different. Maybe technically brilliant or who can drift and pick the ball up and run at defenders.

We have disagreed a fair bit on DCL but this makes a lot of sense. People could never accuse me of not being a bit DCL fan, but if we could move him and Kean out for good money (over 100m between them) and get the 2 lads above for lets say 30m, it's an absolute no brainer for me.

And the cavaet to this, is the club is thinking smartly is which one is at a higher value currently? You'd probably get more for DCL.
