What's your dealer's number please mate?
Yeh Rom's off. Would imagine that Moshiri pretty much said that to RK but guranteed him all the money, and that he will only go if our valuation is met.
I also think he'll have told him he'll offer huge sums to Stones and possibly Barkley to guarantee their 'loyalty'.
Well that's one positive then: Koeman appears to be sane.Koeman reportedly wishes to keep Lukaku, Stones and Barkley
He is 30 like but I think he would be a superb acquisition, very experienced and would have a few years left in him.

Agreed. I'll be gutted to Lose Lukaku and/Stones, think both are going to be world class as they mature. Barkley I would be less fussed about as I don't think he's progressed well enough, seems to make the same mistakes he made years ago, dwelling on the ball.
Who knows maybe RK can coach him to be more decisive and react on instinct rather than hesitating or hold on to the ball too long.
I wasn't on about his age mate. I was on about the fact that he's one of the best centre halves in world football...
Vincent Janssen looks like a Harry Kane sort of player. Should get him. Would send a strong message about Evertons arrival as well. Bazoer looks very good. Koeman should be able to attract players from Belgium/Netherlands due to his standing. Young players with some experience under their belt should be targeted, and if a star player should become available, we should pounce. And a youngish talented goalie would have been nice. Horn perhaps?
So what? it doesn't mean we shouldn't try for him especially given his age.
Yeh agree on Rom/Stones. I think Rom is as good as gone but in Stones' case, we must do all we can (again) to keep him. Do feel we may be fighting a losing battle though if Pep and/or Mourinho come calling.
I know you ain't a fan of Ross mate, but tbh I think it's all just confidence. It's easy to forget considering he's been a key player for us since he was 19, but he's still only 22. His stats for his age are better than either Gerrard's or Lampard's were at their time, and to be honest as awful as he was from March onwards, he was looking back to his best in the first half of the season.
He needs to lean up a bit (shed a bit of that muscle) and get a bit fitter I think, and basically just be given the freedom to play in one role and get brilliant at that one role - either as an advanced midfielder or a player who sits a bit deeper and is more of a box-to-box player. Get that sorted (which is half down to the individual and half the coaching) and he's going to be a star. He's already very good, albeit inconsistent. 22 though, got time on his side.
He had moments of magic but they are too inconsistent. Certainly agree the bulkier he's got the less effective he seems to be, doesn't seem to have 'pienaar step' like he used to. He's talented but I wouldn't be too down about him leaving, I don't think he'll be going anywhere anyway. It's just the silly mistakes that he made years ago like holding onto the ball rather than keeping it simple,
While he will be most effective in a free role, having some restrictions on him would allow him to learn more about it's not always best to keep hold. This is where I feel
A spell deeper in the field would have been good for him as he would learn more about releasing the ball.
Confidence plays a part but he's been at an age past couple of years when you start to eradicate mistakes and make progress, I just don't think he has kicked on much.
I've always felt the best thing for Barkley would be for us to sign a real number 10 who he can compete with and learn bits and bobs from, a David Silva type who knows how important it js to move on the ball or rotate with it.
