Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Name me a top quality centre back who you think we could realistically get and for f***sake don't mention Ryan Shawcross..

Because I think we need one as a matter of urgency...

No, I don't want us to go anywhere near Shawcross. Never have.

And do we? We definitely need a long-term replacement for Jags, but really if we get a manager in who can defend (like Koeman can), then we still have two very good defenders in Stones and Jagielka on the books, plus Mori who I think has shown enough in his first season to prove he will be a good defender in the long term.

In the meantime, it may help to get one in, but there's actually no desperate 'need' at all - unless Stones goes - in which case we go out and get a top quality replacement (but even with that money, we wouldn't be getting Godin).

If Stones stays, I think we've got enough considering Koeman is much better at organising a defence, and we also have the likes of Pennington, Browning and Galloway in reserve, not to mention Holgate.

We are 'desperate' for the following, in no particular order:

- A proven quality goalkeeper
- A back up right back
- A playmaker/winger in the Pienaar/Silva mould
- A back up forward
- A primary striker (assuming Lukaku goes)
- A centre mid (though this would depend on the playmaker I mention above)

Isco is probably realistic and would be very boss. But since we're a brand new everton and seem to be allowed shiny nice things I'll take James please.

I hope we spend so much money that kopite heads are falling off all over the show.

Not that it often means much but Zidane said this week Isco is not for sale. Rumour has it James is though.

Honestly tho, its gonna be boss this window, the rags will link us to all sorts, the good, the bad and the very ugly, peoples heads will be falling off all over the place, im prolly gonna spend most of it laughing at some of the names we get linked with, but from this comment by Mr Fox today, we should all be very excited, so if bluelad wants Godin, lets fing get Godin.

"was told tonight his list of targets , Dont know how true it is ,but theres some big names on it if true .was speaking to WRD hes heard the same as so sounds good"

Everton arent we?

Where is this Godin link Friend

So who would you spend the £100m on then...not on the back ups just...

A proven quality goalkeeper
A playmaker
A primary striker

Victor Valdes is at United but out of contract in a month. Would he not be an excellent signing on a free?
