Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Wijnaldum scored all his goals at home and a lot of Newcastle fans have been saying that away from home it was like playing with 10 men, he just wasn't interested.

Swerve.
Fair point.

Thing is if we signed someone like him it would be as a different option to Barkley. So on that note, not making him guaranteed first team player would hopefully kick up a bit more hunger in him and therefore get the real player.

Case and point Ben arfa. Bombed at Newcastle, people blamed him. Then as soon as he gets away from there he is suddenly a top player again. Newcastle are the problem, not the player. How can you expect him to be fantastic under Steve mclaren?

Think him and Ziyech both got said by saints fans that he would be after them straight away

Rather we took a risk with those two than go for the likes of Wijnaldum who got slated by Newcastle fans for the last 4 months of the season or depay or similar as soon as theyve played in this league youve already missed the chance to get them cheaper

Just hoping that the rumours of a large amount to spend 'before' any outgoings are factored in is true really, being able to spend 10-15m on a player like those would normally represent our entire budget and if they failed wed be screwed, now they could represent the second tier of signing ofr us which we make a few off, IF the rumours from a few itk's about having 'statement' signings on our to do list are to be believed (somethign the HArt bid does support tbh)

Definitely... would be made up with Janssen and Ziyech. I wouldn't be too upset with Wijnaldum to be honest, but depends on the targets for Koeman, I think we are eating at a different table to normal transfer windows, and its both confusing and exciting lollollol

Thought of getting a couple of £15m players and a marquee signing is too much to handle at the moment!

Hope If we do go for a couple of Big name signings to make a statement that we also surround that with some quality 'bargain' signings, both Ziyech and Janssen seem to fit into that catagory

IF Lukaku does go, would like to see us bring in someone with huge upside like Janssen for not a ridiculous fee and then a proven premier league scorer like Giroud which covers us in case Janssen struggles, - wouldn't say no to grabbing Mitrovic on the cheap either - very raw but had a year in the league now, is really young and certainly has a bit of fight in him compared to the rest of that Newcastle team

If you could pick Mitrovic up for 10m, Janssen for 15-20m and same for Giroud 15m, then could have the three of them for around 45m - not a bad option IF we do sell Lukaku for the rumoured 65m like, one young but raw player whose had a decent first season in the league, one very highly touted young dutch international and one very proven good level proven striker in the league

I like your thinking BS but I think the price for Janssen will be more like £25-30m and Giroud £30m .

Just look what Marseille want for Batshuyaiiiii ( CBA looking up the spelling )

That's what I'm looking forward to mate. Hopefully a summer where bug money transfers are not a rare thing and hopefully by signing enough niasse players we get a Mane or even better lol

Hope you are right CD . I like him but at the right price.

AZ aren't stupid and the going rate for strikers is going to be crazy this summer

I reckon he will be around the £20m mark, give or take a couple of mil. Think he would be a great signing even at that price, and hopefully its not a massive this is our only transfer this summer type of deal now - spending £20m on one player and done hahahaha.

Be interesting, reckon Koeman will know what he wants already reckon as part of the discussions he outlined the players he wants and will go out and get them.

Thing is Moshiri has been pretty relentless in getting what he wants with Koeman, hopefully he does the same over transfers too.

If and it's a big if we got £65 m for Lukaku then I would happilly spend £25 m on Janssen

Maybe so mate, think Giroud though will be a lot less than 25-30, he turns 30 in September and whilst he's been routinely god year in year out he still has a fair few critics of him surprisingly, Janssen was just guessing at the figure - although i do think that Milik will be the one that attracts more interest and a higher bid from teams due to him playing for Aax (brief bits i've seen Janssen looks a far better player)

Batshuyaiiiiyiyiasiaia don't remind me of him mate, i threw his name out in i think after Martinez first season as a Lukaku replacemtn back then lol

even at your estimates though, could still get all 3 in for the cost of Lukaku, which really would be the best we could hope for IMO, Mitrovic, Janssen and Giroud for example going into the season instead of Lukaku, Kone and Naisse...

Not sure about wijnaldum, scored all his goals in about 3 games last season.

i like him, but i'm unsure too, seemed inconsistant but if he's cheap why not? we need one of these wingers who can score double figures, but we also need a winger who'se also a playmaker

From what little I've seen of Janssen he reminds me more of Vardy than Lukaku - any thoughts ?

To be honest i would go neither... Definitely not the physical beast that Lukaku is. He is clever, looks like a complete finisher and has some good around play.

I once spoke to someone who said he was the next Van Nistelrooy... I think he has more about his game then he did, as in he gets about more, RVN was just an absolute beast in the box and could score any time the ball came to him - but i think Janssen has a little more about him.

Thanks for the knowledge. If he is a third as good as RVN would would have hell of a player and a bargain.

This summer will be really interesting though, hopefully Koeman is smart enough which i think he is, that he balances bringing in players from abroad with huge potential like Janssen, Ziyech etc, with trying to nab players who are proven in the league as well (which is why i wouldn't mind Hart, Mata etc one bit)

Gets this right and who knows what next season could bring
