I dont see how he would get a game instead of Jags. Hed be on the bench. We need to sign someone to push jags out onto the bench.

One is one of the top defenders in Europe and the other isnt as good as Jagielka...we shouldnt buy inferior squd players.

Ottamendi, Mangala, Sahko - all 3 had strong reputations when bought and all 3 struggled massively to ever adapt to the league

Per Kroldup - very high;ly touted at the time, went on after leaving us to have a very good career still, was absolutely unable to settle in this league

There is absolutely no guarantee that Manolas will be able to settle if he came the premiership mate and you'd be looking at having to pay an absolute massive amount for him - especially as we'd basically have to ensure Roma only allowed him to negotiate with us by paying a lot higher than other teams would

Yeah we have potentially a lot of money now, but it doesnt turn us overnight into 2016 Man City or United etc mate, the calibre of player we will be able to get will go up significantly but no chance on earth that we will be able to compete for players against United, City, Chelsea for a whilst, only if they where offering them a bit part (like Mirallas at Arsenal) and Manolas would walk into any team in this leagues defence

True but lets have a reality check here....I didnt recommend Sahko,Otemendi or mangala....

But i am recommending Manolas. Huge difference in scouting ability here and football knowledge.

Easy to forget i know...
 
I actually think Sahko is pretty good, looks uncomfortable on the ball and has an occasional lapse in concentration but overall has been there best fuelled up player this season.

All absolutely spot on completely, different league at a different pace can often be very very difficult

Trust me he wasn't mate, got a fair few friends who are STH for Newcastle and they reckoned he only turned up at home games and when it was a game under the TV lights, second half of the season especially they reckon he went mising and slated him massively
