Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Wow, why not apply for City then as head scout?

Since you live in Asia can you tell me the name of South Korea's brightest young prospect that doesn't play for Barcelona. Since you're top scout and all.

In fairness, I think he meant he'd know more about foreign players than he would know about City players

I can barely walk at the moment so i wouldnt be able to watch live games other than on TV. Also i would need to sign an exclusivity agreement with them so wouldnt be able to share my knowledge on this forum....i wouldnt then be able to enrich peoples lives with my posts

Not sure why id watch south korean football? Used to watch quite a lot of Japanese football many years ago when nakata was at perugia but neither is on tv here and wouldnt watch it anyway...

All nonsense aside if you're not well mate I hope things improve for you soon ;)

I dont think that modern football i think its Martinez football, which is why we are largely gash at the back. I think your missing the vairence point here mate, Jags is 34 by the start of next season i think it would be counter productive to flog him for 45 games. We clearly miss his organisational skills and steel in defense. He would add to that pool.

Additionaly there will be times, when the defense will have to sit deep, we had it for years with great success with Distin and Stubbs, Jags and Distin, certainly Dann and Jags would be an excellent combination. In more open games, Mori and Stones can play a part, im not wholly convinced that centre back is Stones best position if im being honest.

What it offer you is an opurtunity to have deep centre halves, an attacking therat from left right and centre, how many times were we stopped attacking through the Baines and Pienaar combo - when team cottoned on our attacking threat came down the left. Clearly this provides options when one route isnt working, left side is closed down, the right becomes an option, when both are closed down cenrally becomes an option, this is what good tactical coaching is all about. Enabling players to make decisions in terms of how best to break down opposition by making the best use of the space. At the same time to remaining solid. Its clearly suicide for each of those areas to attack at once, which was not what i was advocating.

Definitely modern day football as many managers and former players bemoan a lack of actual full-backs in world football these days. Distin Jags worked because Distin was lightning and Jags was fast. I'm not saying we don't need a Dann like CB but we need a modernised version who's more of an athlete.

I actually think he'd do a lot better in a team like ours. Fighting relegation in your first season in the Prem under two managers can't have helped him. Seems to play better with more responsibility plus I think he'd be cut price since the relegation.

More importantly this is a central attacker that for once can actually play on the left.

Would be interesting to see how his performances differ with the national side and under benitez and mclaren....perhaps koeman could get the best out of him though surely hed be competing with barkleu...

Zat you do realise most premiership and most teams in Europe hire teams of scouts, Everton alone has a scouting network of 200 people?

All these "gems" you claim you unearth, most of them are highly rated players worth upwards of 30m English pounds, you act like your mining untapped gold mines when all your doing is telling Everton to sign every highly rated player under the age of 20.

It was more an example of something a top scout would more than likely know especially since you live in Asia (China I presume since J-League isn't on your TV). BT Sport can get us everything we need on this European worldies you like.

Not sure i have "claimed to unearth" any "gems"?

Simply highlighted a few players i think we should go for...such as Janssen. Not like i fly around watching these guys is it lol just off TV.

Yeah but you claim you know more than 1000 people Zat, which is the scouting network that Liverpool and City have access to.

Stop with this foolishness.

Tbh when i was in japan and Singapore i only watched the prem but everywhere else ive had to go to pubs to watch as its not been on satellite or terrestrial TV.

Maybe the costs are far lower to have loads of european league games on....we didnt even have european cup on or eufa last season so i had to stream.

Not ideal...hence why i would know more about Rico in spain or Janssen in holland than City/Utd plyers for example.
