Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Yeh Ziyech is class, and with Twente going down/bust, he's available for next to nothing.

Seen some So'ton fans say that RK was apparently tracking him for a while - so you never know. He's very much like Barkley, IMO, but a bit more versatile.
He's not got the raw power and pace of Barkley but much more composed on the ball i think.

In addition Twente are deep in the [Poor language removed] financially, they've actually been relegated by the KNVB for their fiscal missteps even though they finished 13th in the Eredivisie this past season. So he will be off this summer no doubt as I don't see him willing to stick around in the Dutch 2nd tier. Ziyech probably should have gone to PSV last summer but there were some questions over his ambition, (he was seen as scared to take the step up/have to fight for a starting place/etc.) which also supposedly has to do with why he's chosen to play for Morocco instead of Holland, which I am absolutely incandescent about. In reality it's because the KNVB is run by a bunch of muppets who didn't even sack Danny Blind after failing to quality for the Euros.

You whopper...i even raised janssen to you and hes on your sig.

Also, i actually said about ajax and @Dutch Toffee said i was wrong and their fans had wanted FDB out for much longer than i thought...so in fact i had the opposite opinion of what youve written above.

off to bed now.

edit: also vault me on my anti koeman posts and the dates were well before any southampton fans cane on here...yet they wrote the same negatives as i have.

The scum are apparently saying Forster is coming with Koeman. A lad from southampton just sent me the link fuming.

Cheers mate, haven't watched any dutch games since my weird Tadic obsession of a few years back, just on highlights etc he reminded me of Mahrez a bit (and think they just got linked with him recently as well - same time as the rumours started about Mahrez being off) and seeing Twentes financial probs and Koeman obviously being a big fish in the Netherlands still thought that we may have a decent chance of him.

Him and Janssen wouldn't exactly upset me though if both arrived and wouldn't exactly break the bank either by the looks of it.

Hopefully along with 'statement' signings we do business like this as well, good quality players who could be something special - without costing the earth.

Would rather those two than signing a Firminho type for 30m and Lacazette for similar fees - both of whom where themselves big risks to take how they would/will adapt for example

Then again i still want Yarmolenko here and Dzagoev as well - so what do i know end of the day lol
Janssen I am not entirely sure about, he is a poacher who won't win you games on his own. He certainly wouldn't have been a prolific scorer with us with the utter lack of service we've provided our strikers recently. It all depends on how Koeman wants to set up the attack. Janssen also isn't the quickest but he relies on his movement to get into good positions and he wouldn't have the space here that one gets in the Eredivisie.

He could come good in the PL but also could be an utter flop, I can't rightly say what I think he'd do in England. He is a bit more that just a poached as he can pick a pass and has a good first touch. But you'd buy him for his goals and I'm not convinced he'd be as prolific for Everton as he is for AZ.

...looks worthy of a chance. I agree that he's not a Lukaku type, more in the van Nistleroy mould but he looks like he has goals in him and we'll need a few options up front.

At the reported €10m he would certainly be worth the risk. Of course it's a huge step up to the Premiership, but uptil now he hasn't been fazed by the step ups in his career. But hey, I'm sure you know Dutch football much better than me, as it has been over a year I watched anything from the Eredivisie. Be it highlights or full matches.
