Tbh when i was in japan and Singapore i only watched the prem but everywhere else ive had to go to pubs to watch as its not been on satellite or terrestrial TV.

Maybe the costs are far lower to have loads of european league games on....we didnt even have european cup on or eufa last season so i had to stream.

Not ideal...hence why i would know more about Rico in spain or Janssen in holland than City/Utd plyers for example.

Okay then, I'll go along with it, what's your take on Ayoub, Ramselaar & Haller then? I think they'd be good in the Prem at some point.

Think they need to move to ajax/PSV or to Germany to see how they do with superior players before a big move.

tbh though they would block the path of our midfielders and wouldnt have an impact compared to Bazoer for example.

Tbh half the time i dont really focus on players unless they really stand out for me...i used to like Gus Uhlenbeek who got dutch youtj caps bit wasnt very good....

Janssen and Bazoer have stood out in teams and overall in the league...those 2 would be my dutch picks now we have money but are common knowledge to teams of course...

thinking about it, tommy oar was also really good for them and took the same route as uhlenbeek but now back in OZ after ipswich. So think they need to join better sides first really to gauge their ability.

Oh you have defo watched it more than me, I have the grand total of 0 games in the last 3 years.

I hardly watch premiership games these days, Everton only currently, hence my lack of overall scouting knowledge, but you say you watch Dutch games, but you had no idea how Ajax play football, instead you took the word of bitter and angry Ajax fans, the same as you did the Southampton fans.

I did explain I didnt even look at Koemans Dutch record closely, cos its a league hes won the title with 2 different clubs in, I was more interested in looking closely at his Valencia time and Southampton.

Anyway, I wont litter this thread anymore, lets just say im on to you Zat and leave it there.

How do you rate Ziyech and Janssen btw? reckon we will be in for them, can they do a job at the top level and how much would they go for?

Ziyech is an incredible talent, i think even 20 million would be a bargain for him (although i suspect he will be much cheaper). He's a bit like Dmitri Payet, although he's more versatile, can play any of the front four positions. Cracking free kick on him and excellent eye for a pass. He'd be one of my top targets.

He was available for absolute buttons in some of the past windows. Media were quoting 6m EUROS (!) because Twente were so desperate for cash. Even if we get in a bidding war for him he could be got for under £15m I reckon which would be amazing.

Yeh Ziyech is class, and with Twente going down/bust, he's available for next to nothing.

Seen some So'ton fans say that RK was apparently tracking him for a while - so you never know. He's very much like Barkley, IMO, but a bit more versatile.

Cheers mate, haven't watched any dutch games since my weird Tadic obsession of a few years back, just on highlights etc he reminded me of Mahrez a bit (and think they just got linked with him recently as well - same time as the rumours started about Mahrez being off) and seeing Twentes financial probs and Koeman obviously being a big fish in the Netherlands still thought that we may have a decent chance of him.

Him and Janssen wouldn't exactly upset me though if both arrived and wouldn't exactly break the bank either by the looks of it.

Hopefully along with 'statement' signings we do business like this as well, good quality players who could be something special - without costing the earth.

Would rather those two than signing a Firminho type for 30m and Lacazette for similar fees - both of whom where themselves big risks to take how they would/will adapt for example

Then again i still want Yarmolenko here and Dzagoev as well - so what do i know end of the day lol
