Have I just read 100m isn't a lot of money ffs

Between 00/01 and 15/16 we have spent 260m on players

We will now spend over 100m in 3 months

I would go as far as saying player prices have doubled in the last 3 years mind. We still have to be very very careful with money.

I admit it's a risk signing Strootman seeing his injury record over the past few years. The lad's class though.

Strootman used to be pretty good, but I would cry if we spent 30 million on a player that's been out injured for virtually 3 years.

I'd take a gamble for 10 million.

Thing is...other teams are going to get extra millions from us now and fleece us as much as they can. We are now one of the rich boys therefore will be paying over the odds for a good number of players....not that it bothers me.

I haven't looked back through all of the thread, so if it's mentioned I apologise. Does it not feel like the press are going "he's Dutch" "he plays in Holland" or "he plays for Southampton". None seem like genuine links and koeman has only been in the job 2 minutes.
