Exactly, Long is easily good enough as a squad player, far more effective than Kone or Niasse.

Thinking about it most top teams have one striker and then have him backed up by a younger player.

Yes, its going to be a tough season no doubt about it, that's why I think we need to go for the highest quality of player possible. I'm sure with the appointment of Koeman and Moshiri's ambition, I believe we can attract a higher quality of player than the 2 you mentioned.

Don't get me wrong mate, we will almost certainly get an extremely high profile signing in. But they won't all be - and Dann and Long, as an example, are solid premier league players

Echo ran it first i believe, then ran a full page Bio on the player the next day, which is a very unusual for them to do unless their is a little substance to it with us

IF we signed him and IF £30m is actually the number, there is no chance it's a lump sum. Huge quantity of it would be contingent upon clauses being met.

This. Plus Koeman's Southampton had pace down the wings and plenty of crosses. Plus a new fitness coach? Del could be a force to be reckoned with next year. Seems very unlikely that'd he'd leave.

I agree mate not everyone will be high profile who we sign, i would take Dann over the 2 but lets say if Lukaku (if he stays) gets a bad injury and is out for a couple of months do you think he is up to the job? (again not a bad player) but I don't. Pelle yes Long no.

I wouldn't pay more than 7-8m for long if that's correct then that's a large chunk gone without strengthening the team
