Don't think we should be so quick to sell Cleverly myself, he's a good squad player for the CM role, issue is he's not an AML which is where we have seen him play most. I don't think he's done badly at the CM role when played, nor has he ripped up any trees.

That would be ace! someone who can actually pick a pass. Our issue last year especially at home was teams getting set in their 451 while our back 5 passed it round each other for a couple of minutes. Couldn't break down that defence.

His performance showed that he is not a CM. Whenever he played CM we lost the midfield battle. I know it won't help when you have McCarthy playing alongside but still...
