Has nobody thought about questioning Koeman?

Mata has collapsed and he's going after utter dross like Wijnaldum for an absurd fee.
He could go for Schneiderlin but he goes after a mercenary who doesn't even look that good in Witsel, who makes his career playing against farmers.

Don't forget Stekelenburg who'll just eat up wages as a third choice keeper. And off goes Stones who even he couldn't manage to keep.

"Marquee signing" my arse. He's got some eye for talent, him. That's why we're looking for a DoF, eh? We'll see Kone and Cleverley on the flanks again.
mate? MATE?

I'm about as impatient as it gets but the fume here is fantastic.

Look, we all want transfers in. As long as they have more than a couple weeks with the club, that's fine with me.

The more 'worrying' part to me is there doesn't seem to be any movement on a keeper. That should have been the first real signing. And not however you spell his name.

The Everton thread on RAWK is going nuts at the moment – they are loving how we are all putting our faith in Esk and waiting for a transfer today.

Even more reason to pray something comes off today (and I don’t mean my boxers)

I wouldn't worry about the mate. The esk has majorly annoyed them over there for calling Koeman right and they are very worried about the direction the club is going and the temerity that he has to use the information he has to counter their narrative of Everton (which is that we are a tin pot club, who would end up with Moyes/Neville/Giggs as manager and could never attract investment.) Most of those things have been disproven and rather than just admit to being wrong and clueless they will look to attack certain Evertonians.

They have really bought nobody as yet who makes me get off my seat with excitement. Goetze has turned them down despite insisting it was nailed on. They should spend a bit more time worrying about their own transfer affairs than haranguing Evertonians. Evertonians should be wary of allowing their negativity to slip in.

Most of their enjoyment stinks of desperation. I remember similar numpties laughing at me when I suggested when Koeman came back off his holiday the first thing he'd do is phone Everton. They claimed it would be to tell us no and I was delusional yet that is pretty much exactly what he did. There has been (and will be) no apologies for them once again getting it completely wrong.

We are not desperately waiting for a transfer. If it happens it happens. An arbitrary deadline of 15th of July is ridiculous, we have yet to even play a friendly, it is still early pre season. I will worry if approaching competitive fixtures we haven't got anyone in. They are trying to make out there is a big panic and split when there isn't, so be wary of it.

I'm fully au fait with PR & Marketing mush, but thanks for the pointer.

Let's strip it back eh...you're suggesting somehow that the club are accountable for making false promises RE marquee signings thus generating an increase in season ticket sales, yes?

Sound.

Again, if you're purchasing a 'thing' on the basis that something 'might' happen...then, well, the only person accountable for that is you.

Football clubs move forward because of the BIIIIGGGGGGGG players they sign? Yep.

Leicester.

:bye:
It's going to be tiresome listening to every useful idiot say that because of Leicester you don't need money to move forward.

Every chairman's dream.

I agree that this is obviously not what the club said but the overall buzz and hype behind the takeover was generated from the club with ST sales in mind IMO.

I disagree that anyone would purchase one solely "hurr durr we're gonna spend monies" but if I was a casual fan who went to maybe 5 or 6 games a season dependent on how I felt, what game it was etc and then BOOM. We've got 2 world class players about to pull on the Royal Blue it would certainly push me into making a more hefty commitment in terms of buying tickets.

Then those fans should have waited to buy their ticket - we're Everton, we're slow.

Calm down, I was merely being cynical.

Guilty conscience?

Yup, you got me. Anyhow back to the adult world...

If Sebastien Haller is signed that would be a great signing. I watch a little of the Dutch league when I can and he looks like he's got a lot of potential. Whether it translates in the PL is another thing.

Until we sign someone who is a major singing we are going to worry about this new dawn the worst chairman in our history has produced. I want to believe it's what we all think and people like the ESK are saying it is but this is Everton.

Well this isn't Everton this is the Everton Bill created.
