Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Well we were a mess last season, and unless I'm mistaken, got two draws against Spurs, so I wouldn't be overly stressed at the thought of the current squad facing them with a supposedly more solid gameplan.
I think early in the season it's a level playing field as teams are still in pre season mode, plus every season you always see some weird results in the first couple of games of the season.

We'll beat Spurs with Koeman at the helm and our new signings bedded in.

Been quite sanguine so far, but think I may get a bit fumey if we don't get at least one first XI signing in by the end of this week. Surely you'd think today/tomorrow bids formally accepted, medicals wed/Thursday, photos Friday would seem a sensible time frame.

Don't fret about what others do...

Who are you classing as our rivals, btw?

City, who are bound to be title challengers? Utd, who will most likely be up there? Arsenal?

Ultimately, they aren't really our rivals mate, as I highly doubt we're going to be title candidates just yet.

Chelsea are undergoing quite a re-build, while Liverpool are doing what they always do in singing tons of players for the same position meaning their squad is once again going through 'transition'.

Spurs meanwhile have added primarily squad players, while it remains to be seen what happens with Leicester and West Ham, and Southampton definitely haven't 'strengthened' per-say.

The entire league are our rivals. For all of SKY's insistence that ithe is all about the Manchester clubs this season and what Chelsea can do. It isn't. We could easily finish above all 3 of those clubs. Last season and the Euros proved that a well organised and disciplined side can win, even if it does not possess the best players. It will be a very open league again, don't let the biased media brainwash you.

Regarding transfers I am sure we will strengthen. If it takes longer than we would like then so be it.

Won't take long to bed no one in, so I agree mate

This is interesting so someone will lose his pre-season shirt number. The unknown striker we signed last August? No.28 will go to...
I think we'll still see a few departures this summer: one high profile; a few squad players and maybe some of the younger lads on loan.

The club are simply protecting themselves by saying 'look, we've warned you that numbers may change so don't be annoyed if they do'.

I remember going to Chester Zoo the day Michael Owen signed for Newcastle was a bit gutted as he was linked with us at that time.

I've only ever been twice but good call might take kids these School Holidays.

Went for 3 years straight after my son was born for his birthday then left it after that. now the baby is 2, going back there again.
