The game isn't played on paper, mind the cliche but whether it's Spurs, Hull or United, there should be a confidence about the place going into a new season.

I already feel more confidence in our ability to defend but the issue is the complete lack of creativity from Midfield, we haven't addressed this at all.

Fair enough, I can see why that's a concern to a few after the United game but I think that was more a defensive exercise than a 'lets win the game and create.'

Of course, it was clear that Koeman was Fuming about the midfield so expecting them to be drilled on that this week. If that continues into Saturday against Espanyol then I may well share similar concerns. Just think that there should be a bit of confidence about the place - new manager into a new season, suppose that might come next week as we get closer to the actual kick off.

Lets remember last season the defense was shambolic but attacking we were decent........Koeman looks like he is making a difference at the back......so to go into a season with a settled team isn't as bad as people think.

Some teams will be all over the place with new faces from the get go.

I think we may go in with what we have and add if needed by end of month.

Of course my mate at FF thinks diffrerently.

weve let 4 or 5 go , and have got 2 in. at present we are a weakened squad. esp now besic has been ruled out.

i understand transfers are harder to complete because of euro's etc etc, but now is the time to start making them.

i hope alot of dealing have been kept secret from us, the media and @The Esk

each day/week that passes tho, gives me a sour feeling of 'going with what we got' which would be horrendous!
