We really lacked a Yarmo-type player today, as in one of those big fast hulking players that whizzes past defenders. Geri's fast and has skill, but no strength or intimidation whatsoever. Yarmo has all of that.

Think Mirallas for £9m and get McGeady off the wage bill, then pounce for Yarmo before his price skyrockets after the Euros.

If we can get Yarmolenko and a keeper in, whether it be this month or summer, and keep all our best players together for one more year, we will do serious damage to the league next season.

without a doubt. you just know lukaku would get a serious season ending injury on the first game/first day after the window closes though.

There isn't tho!

We've got a hugely talented left winger, our manager just happens to rate him at about the same level as Jo Brand.
Do you feel that he has done something massively wrong and bobby wants him sold but isn't going to allude to that in any way so as to not damage his sell on value? To me this seems like the situation he finds himself in (in my completely conjectural scenario).

I couldn't ever imagine RM saying anything negative about anything including player performances/attitudes but he kinda gave it away when talking about naismith and how he helps and works for the team and others don't.

Is Mirallas really a left winger though?

Can understand the theory that he is better than Kone/Osman/an aging Pienaar on the left but never really though of it as his best position - right winger he has had many excellent games, makeshift striker (Martinez first season vs Chelsea at home although can be offside a lot) or played on the left of a 433 (Arsenal at home with Lukaku on right and Naismith as false 9!) but as a true left winger can't honestly say he's put in many performances that have stuck in my mind.

yes, left wing was his best position before joining everton.

For Olympiacos? Thought he was their striker, but could well have that wrong as never watched them, if I'm honest never knew how to spell his name before he joined us ;)

But in our league just never been particularly impressed with his performances on the left wing, Spurs away and Wolfsburg away last yeat being exceptions. His crossing for Lukaku seems compromised with being on his weaker foot as does his already erratic defending and he rarely seems to have any chemistry with Baines.

Could well be misremembering - which Everton games has he shone as a left winger?
