For Olympiacos? Thought he was their striker, but could well have that wrong as never watched them, if I'm honest never knew how to spell his name before he joined us ;)

But in our league just never been particularly impressed with his performances on the left wing, Spurs away and Wolfsburg away last yeat being exceptions. His crossing for Lukaku seems compromised with being on his weaker foot as does his already erratic defending and he rarely seems to have any chemistry with Baines.

Could well be misremembering - which Everton games has he shone as a left winger?
Derby game a few seasons ago when the rat took him out with a stamp. He was destroying them.

olympiacos yeah LL! filled in as a striker sometimes but most of the time on the left.

West ham last season, in the cup.

and in his first season he was on the left

Also in his first game against liverpool he played on the left.

Infact every good game he has had for everton has been on the left.

Agree with West Ham away in the cup, he had an excellent game despite only being a sub due to his ankle injury.

The Liverpool games under Moyes that @VentureBrosEFC also mentioned, he was good but didn't translate that it into any goals/assists. Tbh though he had a better game on the right when we lost 4-0 at Anfield in Martinez's first season, particularly as nobody else showed up. In our 3-3 home draw with them that same season he had a goal and assist and Piennar also played a good game on the left. Happy to discuss further as genuinely like Kev, just not on the left, but perhaps we should move it to his thread?

......Sam Byram rumours persist this morning, the Yorkshire Post saying a £3m bid is imminent from Everton.

Mirror Football link us with Chelsea starlet, Ola Aina and there is still the odd bit about us bidding £21m for Yaramelenko.
Still think Byram would be a good, sneaky buy at 3mil. He stood out even when we played them in the cup a few years back in the Fransisco Junior game. Hope it's true.

Take byram all day at 3M he's probably one of the best young full backs so am sure we would get 3M worth of player out of him easily. We are desperate for back up for Coleman aswell

I agree mate.

Think he is so much better on the right. On the left he tends to just become a bit too predictable. On the right he mixes it up - often stays out wide a lot and then sometimes drifts in.

He also links up well with Seamus - he always has done.

If Cleverley is fit, I'd like to see him start at Chelsea on the right. There's no reason not to.

Going to come out and say it but we will not sign yarmolenko, chairman said he will only sell if they are out of europe he has no release clause, why would he join us in 11th and not in europe when he can stay till the end have a good euro's and get a champions league move, makes no sense it was the start of the season or never for me!
