Everton Transfer Thread 2016

At the beggining of tomorrow I stop thinking about Everton, transfer window, about Witsel, Mata, Koulibaly and all this stuff, and I will only check transfer news two times a day.

Because my life as an Evertonian started to be a nightmare, I can't stand this transfer window anymore. We must just wait. I will wait without reading all these reports, news... Just wait till the transfer window ends...

I had to write this...

I do think there are multiple people on here that have led themselves up the garden path.

We've argued about this on here for months.

A dose of realism is needed in people on here.

Seriously. It was NEVER EVER going to all happen this summer.

Only people believing stupid newspaper stuff meant that they thought it would.
yippee two signings wowzers

Why does he deserve do be sacked?

Not saying he's good or bad at his job but how the heck would you know one way or the other?

I guess you're one of the BK haters, who hates him cos he wasn't born a billionaire too.

My guess is, you've never met Elstone, have no idea wether he's good or bad at his job and have no reason to want to call for him to be sacked other than you don't like him for some jumped up reason.

The Chang and Kitbag deals are 2 of the worst commercial deals I've ever seen. And he sold off the training ground only to rent it back. He also published an article on the club OS about his lawnmower purchases. Greater than our transfer fund that season incidentally.

And no I don't like him, but it's because he's commercially inept.

Great day eh. We, with our two Championship summer signings, get embarrassed at home to Espanyol and booed off the pitch, while the RS with their nicely bedded-in expensive summer signings smash Barcelona 4-0. But pah, what difference do early signings make, really? Let's just throw the first games of the season in the hope we can pick up some last-minute bargains. Absolute joke.
Joke yeh - just like you go and support the RS as you seem to like them

Listening to the echo podcast, it was said how we might have to wait for the blue ribbon signings. If Witsel and Koulibaly sign it will be at the end of the window. However, because of their quality it is worth the wait.

I don't have a problem with that. However, I would be surprised if there aren't players who sign in the next couple of weeks who we could have easily gotten over the line earlier.

I think it is time for concern, we haven't looked like we are a team which can play our way into the top six. The two front line signings do look like they are,an improvement on what we have but it is marginal. I think we can agree that we don't have the players to mount a challenge at the top half.
We need to do some transfer business and we do seem to be struggling in that department.
Things need a dramatic change for the better.

Teams that win stuff get the big commercial deals. I reckon the importance of who you have in running your commercial operations is irrelevant in relation to how successful your team is on the pitch unless they're the most incompetant fool ever.

A lot of fans complain about our commercial dealings over the last few decades. Even if we had the best commercial director in the world we wouldn't suddenly attract huge sponsorship and commercial deals. You need to win stuff, attract a worldwide fanbase then the big companies will come to you. Seems a bit harsh to blame it on Elstone, I mean, he may be crap but I don't think it would make much difference who we had in at the time those deals were done. We weren't an attractive proposition to the big corporate companies.

Why don't you save yourself a whole load more stress and tension, break away from this awful nightmare that you find yourself in and simply wait until the end of the season before logging back on to see if we won anything!!

Transfer season wouldn't be so bad if these ITK's didn't think them selves to be the be all of what's going on. They are a bunch of ball ticklers that would take even give you a few strokes before they are onto someone else saying they are a done deal.

Pretty sure Sunderland have better deals than us so no I politely disagree.

I'd be much more comfortable about the club's situation if it weren't for the fact bill and elstone still remain. Whatever capacity that is I dunno.

But I'm massively cynical and there's no commercial rationale for it.

There's a critical eye looming over bob everyday now, that's the major major difference. And if he had £85m of my business to run I'd be watching his everymove

Huh, this "nightmare" was bit ironic, but really, I'm thinking too much about our transfers, ffs, it should be our biggest transfer window ever, but now it is hard to take it. Let's just wait...
