You would hope they would look to insulate the team from any expenditure on the stadium but it's hard to know what's going on at the moment.
It has to be the case tho or we aren't going anywere or growing as a club and just be bloody sustaining

I do pal lol so I expect to win the league!
Mate, I've been arguing with @MoutsGoat and @The Esk for months.
Goat says we will get 8 by the summer. I said: nonsense. Too many that.
Esk said. Big spends incoming. I said: Unrealistic. need to spread it out a bit. Three seasons.
I think as Esk has now implied we will be busy in January 2017 purely because deals couldn't get done (as Koeman said today) despite our attempts and offers.
I'm not saying that we won't spend the dough.
I'm saying it was UNREALISTIC to expect a revolution in one summer.
Over a season and with the additions in January 2017 that are inevitable. 8 signings are certainly feasible.
Maybe even 10.
5 or 6 this summer and 4 or 5 in the winter transfer window.
I suspect we could still sign Witsel if we made him an offer he couldn't refuse i.e. an incredibly attractive financial package. Exactly the same way we got RK.
We've been unwilling or unable to do so. We can no longer claim we're unable to do so due to STCC rules so the most obvious explanation is that we can't afford to do so because we don't really have £100m net available.
Calm down tiger.
But you never know...
Maybe that's what they still plan to do regarding Stones however if the wage bill is annual does that mean anyone signed in January would only count for the 6 months they have increased so in theory it may actually prevent us from signing anyone or actually if they were really expensive (if they earned more than 14m) we would actually be forced to sell someone next summer. We would bring forward our summer 2017 transfer budget/activity to January 2017 as much as we possiby could to utilise the spare capacity in wage growth. I would not expect for a moment to utilise it all.
We probably have wage structure limits so we might have offered him what we see as a good offer? We can debate this all day we aren't to know yet!

Also the team will be pretty different to the one that starts on Saturday, so signings are coming for definateHe also said he expects the side to be fully ready in 2 weeks in terms of match fitness as well. Totally understandable and about right.
Heads falling off in here for absolutely no reason.
Lukaku apparently offered 135k pw, which will show what the upper limit we have been offering has been, not a shock we haven't gotten any major target over the line - Chelsea for example are paying 150k pw for Kante etc
It's been obvious all along that he wanted to go to Italy. The point is that it appears we haven't yet offered the large wage premium necessary to attract higher level players to a mid table club.We have twice offered an improved offer to Witsel. I just don't think he wants to come here - his team kept changing their demands
I think part of the problem lies in the fact the club have remained so tight lip about a lot of details. Which of course they have a right to do. People just don't want to go back to the Days of the previous regime when the fans were essentially in the dark because of the faults with those in charge
