lol
We have a negative (or at the very least close to negative) net spend mate - that's a fact. We haven't splashed the cash by any definition you care to invent.
Why is this up for debate?
Look, Stones (£40k), Howard (£70k), Pienaar (£60k), Osman (£40-50k), Hibbert (£25k) - all approximates, but all off the books - unless you believe for some reason that Gueye, Bolasie, Williams and Stekelenberg are earning in excess of double or triple those wages, then we do not have a significant net spend.
Great, so has everyone else. Our main rivals have, objectively, improved lots more, whereas middling clubs have improved at similar levels to us.
Hence why I'm not getting too excited.
Saying that, our first two games have been good so far. Long old season tho'.
If I worked for Man Utd, I wouldn't be able to spout off how I think Man City are the greatest team in the world, without making clear the views are my own.
That would be daft.
And all those approximates are over what they where earning, why not approximate lower mate?
Still squad members. and senior ones who most other clubs would have had as first team players to a certain degree. If they couldn't contribute and were still part of the squad then that it down to the manager to have not replaced them /signed them in the first place.Let's be realistic.
if you are including any of below
Ossie, pienaar, Hibbert, Mcgeady, garbutt
How many games did they play in total last season
I've said before, if we sign Witsel, Mata and Carvalho - which was said to be a certainty - then I will be celebrating with you and will make a full public apology and admit I was wrong.Pipe down.
Right, the guy volunteers his time to this place that you and I get to use free of charge and you're obsessed with bad-mouthing.
You're being a bell, and I for one hope you feel like a tool when we sign a boss player and the rest of us are celebrating like it's 1999.
That I think is taking it totally out of context...its not like he said Liverpool is great etc. Nowhere do I ever see moderators posting the whole time...this is not X's (company/site etc) opinion but my own...unless they want to clarify specifically for whatever reason. If I worked for Man Utd, I wouldn't be able to spout off how I think Man City are the greatest team in the world, without making clear the views are my own.

That's the goal of literally every club in the league. Most will say they've succeeded. What makes us so different then?

I'm not seeing it though.
Its not different..its what every club wants to do, and some are better at it than others. Theres only one club were the manager has publicly stated that they will be in a relegation battle this season......
Erm....because the window is still open?
