Because Gueye and Bolasie are something we've lacked for years.

Stones was never worth 50m.

Williams will do just fine.

The league is awash with CB that we could buy for a snip.

The league isnt 'awash' with potentially top class centre backs though is it?

For those raving about Holgate, its easy to forget Galloway should be in the team or at least the squad as well.

Ignoring all the other young defenders we have (and theres quite a few) it would have been fabulous to see Holgate and Galloway lining up alongside Stones for us and potentially England.

If we had gone all out for Butland at the start of the summer, even with a crazy offer then i think he would have waited to see who else we brought in as then we would have made a statement and got in a fellow International.

Instead weve sold Stones and packed off Galloway on loan...

Lets assume we sold Stones to sell to buy, do you consider trading John Stones for Stickle, Gana, Williams and Bolasie a decent trade?

I do, for the record.

If Stones had been keen to stay I probably wouldn't have.

But he wasn't so all in all seems a decent trade on their early performances, despite the fact I hate seeing John in the wrong colour blue.
