Yep can't blame the management for players not wanting to sign for us, as I said though, what I posted wasn't my view of things, just putting it out there as to why some lads are feeling a bit meh about it all. Me, I'll wait till the window closes.
And I fully understood what you was saying, but what can be done other than put a gun to their heads with a contract on the table, those grumbling need to understand it is not for the want of trying to get these players in, and being prepared in most cases to pay over the odds for them.

Moshiri has backed Walsh and Koeman, no doubts about that.

You choose what you want to believe and I'll do that same, looks like Lukaku is prepared to give Koeman a shot, Martinez still here he'd have been kicking and stamping his feet to get away.

Perhaps so but i dont think it could be discounted that players dont want to play for Koeman.

Not a single one of the big name players who were linked has signed because of us having Koeman.

It's just been a very crazy summer, I don't think folk handled expectations very well, hard to see what some were expecting given our last 2 seasons, I think a lot of people expected a Man City/Chelsea type splurge which was never going to happen. For me, I like what we have we need more but certainly a striker is a must.

I've been digging @BlueToff (tagged :p) about having splinters up his bum for a couple of weeks but by no means was I being vindictive with it.

Post more mate and get involved, god help us we need more sane people on here. ;)
Thing is, we don't really know what's going/gone on other than what we read in the press, a lot of which may well be absolute bollox.

From the sound of it though, initially the Club's ambitions appeared to have matched our own judging by the quality of player we were being linked with. However getting those deals over the line proved harder than expected so we had to change tact mid window when we started targeting "non-marquee" signings. I can understand how some fans would be disgruntled by this.

But the transfer dealings so far have, in my view, improved the starting 11 and also gone a long way to eradicating some of the main playing issues from the last couple of seasons. I agree that we need to bring in more quality before the window shuts and I'm confident that we will, but maybe not at the level originally hoped. Fingers crossed eh!!

I'm really looking forward to this season though. Think the improvements we've made to the playing staff already, coupled with player fitness and much better tactics and game management, will see us to European qualification. However the next 5 days are crucial to whether that be CL or EL.

Perez signing for Everton - media: lol k. who?

Perez signing for Arsenal - media: great business, underrated, clever signing
i genuinely believe (and could be massively wrong) that the bigger picture is he picked the wrong club. I believe he could have fared much better here than over there, but all means nothing. Just think our style would have adapted better than arsenals.

if he turns out to be boss then there you go, but i just can't see it.

Still early days for Moshiri & the new regime.

I've no idea who actually does our transfer negotiations, but they've been poor for years. Didn't Buckley Finch show Nigel Martin around Park Foods, before letting him drive to Leeds???

Transfers are multi-million deals. Agents are slippery baarstards. You need talented, charismatic negotiators & they don't come cheap.
