Everton Transfer Thread 2016

How is that rubbish?

We haven't won a trophy in 21 years is it? So any player who we are looking to sign (and chances are born around our last trophy win) wouldn't see us as somewhere to win things. We are no closer to winning the league or european cup than we were 21 years ago, and haven't hardly made that ground up either. So the here and now is what matters, and you want to win things, sign for city, we aren't the club we were before in more ways than one so for a lad who was one when we last won a cup, our history means naff all. Ergo, we are on the same level as west ham now, and the more we kid ourselves of that the more we turn into them lot over the park with their yearly rivalries against anyone succesful.

As i keep saying the table doesn't lie, and after 50 games since august 2014, we are a mid table club. in 8 months we are still in the same position therefore we aren't some underperforming top 6 club anymore.

OK mate the table doesn't lie, thus Leicester should now really be classified amongst the elite in the premiership, also CVhelsea are now at best a lower half team or maybe even a relegation battler.

As for winning trophies, out of us and West Ham who do you think is the most likely to win a trophy this year mate? just out of interest?

Check out the league positions for more than a 18 month period mate before you start trying to cast things in stone, maybe be more fair to use over the past 4-5 years - I'm sure Byram could remember that long ago as he isn't that young after all is he?

Actually every man and his dog who has wrote or commented about us this season thinks we are a under performing team - besides Chelsea THE most under performing one, actually pretty sad to see that Evertonians seem to be the only ones who disagree with that lol

Question for you, currently sitting just 6 points away from 6th position as we are, do you think that this season we have been underperforming?

Note Debuchy told Wenger publicly that he needs to move a few days ago. Hence Arsene telling Bilic that he will need Jenkinson back at the end of the loan to cover Bellerin who is first choice now. Knock on effect being that West Ham have to go into the market for a right-back, makes sense for them to bring in a young lad with 6 months to acclimatise before next season ready to go.

Again mate, one flaw to that.........

If you believe yourself to be that good then you joined the lesser one, get the promotions and be a part of overtaking the market leaders rather than accepting they will never be as good as them. (premier league metaphor there!!!!)

Also again i ask, how is west ham a step down from everton?
West Ham are having a good season. Mind you I still believe we will finish higher than them this season.

However, forget the long term history, just look at the last decade and ask yourself which is the bigger better club.

We have in recent seasons seen clubs like Southampton, Swansea prosper only to fall away again and I think that may happen yet with West Ham. Bilic is a new force at the club, let's wait until next season and the novelty is gone, let's see how well he does then.

Strangely , West Ham is a club that I have always liked. Maybe, it is because they were always good for a few points even in bad times for Everton.
