You genius youI think/hope he means in terms of numbers rather than performance wise!
The performance are getting better, Chelsea was just a really unlucky game in every aspect, even Costa wasn't seriously injuredI can see us going on a winning run now.
The problem that all North clubs are gonna have is the attraction of London clubs and it's slowly getting harder as foreign players want to go to London, Utd and City will pay big wages for player to go to them doesn't mean they will settle, Di Maria for example. In the case of Byram, he's gone for 1st football and is also a West Ham fan. Ogbonna and Payet choose West Ham because there in London
I know everyone is saying its dead in the water but if we go back in with more money today who knows about Byram.
I'm completely staggered that the manager is letting Naismith go if he isn't intending on bringing in another (good) striker. Is he genuinely gambling on Lukaku staying fit until end of the season and being available for every single game? Take him out of the equation and - given our form last 18 months, and looking at our shambles of a defence - we'll struggle to beat any team in the league, home or away. We're good at drawing games mind you, going off our horrendous points-per-game record.
Is Martinez under orders to sell and have the board bank the cash? Or does he honestly think Lukaku alone can somehow fire us up the league / win a cup? With zero transfer rumours to go off, it really looks that way. If we finish 9th/10th/11th and don't get to a cup final and at the very least come away unfortunate losers due to some referee corruption, he has to walk, as two years of defensive comedy is enough and doesn't appear to show any signs of getting better.
Now what I don't understand is why he is getting fans' hopes up stating we could see somebody in the mould of Yarmolenko come in, when he knows the supporters hang off his every word. "In the mould/shape/style/whatever of" Yarmolenko, to me, means a proven superb player to come in and be an instant starter.
It all, as it usually does, is looking like another Moyes-style "we tried but will have to go with what we've got" situation.
Shambles. It is clear as day that the squad is no where near good enough, and this despite having so many players who'd almost certainly walk into any other team's starting line up: Baines, Coleman, Stones, McCarthy, Barkley, Lukaku. The manager has massively, massively underperformed for ages now and is somehow still under no pressure whatsoever.
We need some players!
yeah.. yeah Butters, of course. The sky is falling, yes, we know....I'm completely staggered that the manager is letting Naismith go if he isn't intending on bringing in another (good) striker. True...when you compare that to the suicidal fans when Mori leftYeah when all the Juve fans are excited that he's leaving it's not too easy to get excited about a potential player.
To be fair mate, in his position I think most people would do the same. Frighteningly short career being a player and you have to do what's best for yourself. He has no allegiance to any specific premier league club, nor do 99% of professional footballers. Even Rooney who professes his love for Everton at every available opportunity has spent his career amassing numerous trophies, medals and awards for a league rival. We offered more money.
He forced a move through to West Ham for the playing time.
On one hand, you can respect his decision. It's a lot like Mirallas picking us over Arsenal. Bryam is moving to a less-established club in order to get games, improve himself and then get a bigger move.
On the other, it shows his personality that he's willing to force a move which is detrimental to the club that has given him a footballing career, otherwise he'd leave on a free in the summer for nothing. Then you have Yarmolenko, who signed a new contract just so that his club would get a fee for him.
Iv noticed a bit of a power change aswell so totally agree.
Apart from the 2 Manchester clubs (City for the money, Utd for the profile) the rest of the clubs moving forward and getting investment/new stadiums/media coverage etc all seem to be southern based.
Us, Liverpool, Villa, Newcastle, Leeds, Sunderland! All big clubs with a large fanbase and history.
Are all being rejected in one way or another and to different severitys to a southern dominance.
You can even look outside of London at Bournemouth, Southampton, Leicester, Watford all taking advantage of it
