Benteke or Bony.

Wouldn't go anywhere near Benteke tbh.

Bony is sound but dunno if he'd give us anything near what Rom does all in all.

Bony and Rooney I could live with, though...

Really can't think of anyone from the continent that is realistic either though. Aubameyang would be nice like...

Benteke is class mate, no one ever thrives on the dark side, would be snip at 20 mill.

I'm a fan if I'm honest, I wouldn't be opposed to him, Dann or Williams in the interim, with another young addition, I have big hopes for Galloway at Centre half.

We don't need a 'grock' centre half Neiler. We just need a change in defensive tactics to something more akin to last night and our away form on the whole.

The players aren't really the issue.

We'd be much worse off with Shawcross.

Dann I wouldn't mind, as he can at least pass the ball.

It'd be this summer or never for me with Shawcross, as he'll be 29 next season. He's a proper defender and would be a great successor for Jags imo.

Nah.

CBA giving that rabble any money and he just looks a shell of the player he could have been.

Yeh there's an argument that he could do it for revenge etc but he's really not kicked on since that first season with Villa in all truth. That was four seasons ago...

Mate he isn't suited for us at all.

As I said, you could have put him in this team this season and he wouldn't have had an effect I'm sure of it. It's just the way we defend as a whole at times rather than the specific players.

If Stones does go I'd look at Subotic from Dortmund as a realistic option, or Victor Ruiz from Villarreal. Only issue is not Prem proven but if they'd be coming in primarily as third-choice (ala Mori at first) it wouldn't be a huge issue.

Yeah mate and Jags is Beckenbauer

Fumes Mori can't pass wind either btw

No I'm not saying that.

The players at the back aren't the issue at all. It's how we tend to defend certain situations when we don't defend as a unit that costs us. Shawcross wouldn't change that.

Also, while we're on it, Shawcross' hoofed clearances to row Z cost Stoke a lot more than it helps them.
