I was going to mention that of all the Kiev players, I was actually most impressed by him. Sheer size of the lad

Mertzaker size but a lot faster and not like the arc royal when turning, good player, would take any of him, Dragovic, Veloso and Yarmolenko here without any misgivings mate

GK - Maybe Begovic?
CDM - Maybe a Witsel, or would anyone take Fellaini back? I think Spurs Dembele would do well as a CDM.
CB - Maybe Shawcross? Or a Zouma but not sure exactly how realistic he is.
Wide/versitile - Maybe Yarmolenko or Mata?

The players I am suggesting I think are realistic players like, and obviously players in their prime not at the end of their career. Thoughts?

Dembele is far from realistic, he is one of their most important players.

Always liked Veloso but thought over both legs he was torrid. Especially yesterday. Everything went sideways. Hit 30 now and IMO wouldn't give us anything different to what we don't have.

Agree on the rest though

think he turns 30 at the end of the season mate, and he never turned into the player he looked capable of when breaking through years ago, but still think he would add a lot of depth and experience to the centre mid, besides Barry we have no one (assuming Gibson leaves) who can play that sitting deep role, taking the ball off the goalie and cb's etc, Veloso could do that easily.

As for the games against City, major problem he has at Kiev is they don't really have much movement ahead of him mate, besides Yarmolenko they lack ta;lent really in attaacking areas, so a lot of what he does best is watsed their, thos deep balls down the channels and quick first time passing etc

Thing is mate i think Besic can do that just fine.

Barry is still gonna be here for another year and potentially even two.

I'd say Veloso would really just be a waste of wages unless we get Europe. Maybe then it'd be something to look at.

possibly so mate, just for me anyway, think that i'm thinking of though is that at Barry's age he could litteraly go at any time mate, and if we just had Besic and McCarthy i think we'd be well short of whats needed, addign a player like zat suggests whilst nice on fm or fifa will just end up with one of besic, mccarthy or new bloke sitting a lot on a bench and not developing, a canny pick up of someone 29/30 of high calibre bides us over a few years and keeps us with a nice experienced edge to the side

Cuadrado is a really handy player.

He's very suited to a European team mate.

Good player no doubt but - proved by the weird spell at Chelsea - just don't think he's cut out for the physicality of the Prem.

And couldn't settle over here either. Loves it in Italy.

The Veloso shouts are pure FIFA/FM. He's done nothing in his career but he was good on video games so is worth a punt?

Can we get Cherno Samba out of retirement?

Iwobi for Arsenal would be perfect for the left I know we have zero chance of getting him. Third time I've watched him & don't think I've seen him pick the wrong pass once he looks top class both in possession & passing.

Guess we'll find out on Saturday at first hand. But no way would arsenal let us anywhere near him.
