Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Kiev has been in touch. No news, but an interesting point on everyones favourite Ukranian.

In reference to Yarmolenko there`s huge misunderstanding on his style of play.

But I'm not sure if he's what we really need... which is a playmaker in all truth to cut through packed defences. (GOT post)

Yarms is an out-and-out winger who is all about power and having a clean run forward - which he's very good at.

Yarmolenko is not out-and-out type of winger.

Major part of his passes he created as short passes in "number 10" style, moreover if transfer to Everton occurs, Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku are equally vital for Yarmolenko in terms of creating goal chances. If you expect much crosses from him, than he`s not type of player you need.

PM from Kiev.

Nice to know we still have a lurker if and when anything happens in the Summer anyrate.

Which is exactly what martinez will be after imo. Our results improve with a cleverley type midfielder on one "wing" - but he doesn't provide anything in an attacking sense. So we'd need a player like that to fit the correct structure as well as provide a great threat going forward

.... not that our problems have been in an attacking sense like.

When we sign Yarmolenko we could play 3-4-2-1

For example

-------------------------Robles

---------Coleman------Stones-----Mori

Deulofeu-----McCarthy----Besic----Tarashaj

------------Barkley------------Yarmolenko

------------------------Lukaku

Lol.

Nice one Roydo mate

Swerve that utter showpony Jargemenko.

Hes gone AWOL in 2 games versus City.

Looks like his heart isn't in it since the winter break - been playing mediocre in the league since the restart as well (as has the entire Kiev team), reckon the owner is seeing the results of keeping him one window and one broken promise about allowing him to move too many now, plus rushing him back from a knee injury for the first city game hasn't done him any fabvour either.

Think also Kiev aren't a unknown commodity now in Europe like last season, everyone and his dog now knows you shut him down then you stop Kiev a she's their only quality attacking player.

Still reckon if we get him he would be a star for us though - especially given some of the attacking palyers we would have alongside him

He also shares your misgivings about Niasse. For the same reasons too.

Still hoping that those misgivings end up looking silly mate for me, like anyone once they sign though will give the lad a fair crack - no point getting on his back as won't help

100% repped by Kiev mate.

Also, he mentioned that this was the managers first go at preparing a team post winter break.

IMO Yarms doesn't offer that - from what I've seen.

He's more a player who will be devastating when given a bit of space but the thing is we have those players already.

We could do with a player who can operate in those tight little pockets of space. Lennon is a perfect example of a player who can do a bit of both and is doing it very well.
