As for attracting top players, just look at some of the names and managers who are now in China and who have previously been in Russia.

People are finding it difficult to appreciate that we can afford top players now.

Sure. If there was no competition for his signature then we'd have a shot. As it is, he'll be going to one of the clubs previously mentioned. Not a chance in hell he's even on our radar nor us on his.

People are finding it difficult to appreciate that every single team in the league has 50million to play with, then theres another 10-11 teams in the league with owners richer than ours, then theres another 20 or so teams in Europe with owners richer than ours, that leaves around 30 teams with more money than us, at least 20 of them can offer CL football and dont have their highest paid player on less than 100k a week.

In short, aim high by all means, but dont expect us to suddenly be PSG.
