The bottom line is that without a few more signings this window hasn't addressed key deficiencies within our squad and thus cannot be considered a success.

Maybe Koeman will do well with what we've got but he won't have all of the tools that he should.

I agree Gueye was a Walsh signing but anyone given a computer and access to Opta Stats would have found Gueye. I think the original poster was referring to hidden gems from other leagues, not the Prem's best 2nd best tackler.

Exactly, anyone can spot a top player and pay big money for him. If that's what Walsh was brought into do then what a waste of money!

Like you say, I hoped or believed that Walsh was brought in as he has a talent to spot potential top players at cheap prices, which of course is fine art!
