Its crossed my mind mate, but i think if you have real ambition you have to be prepared to have very good players who wont play every game. In that context you have to have a base line standard and young players have to hit it to progress. I think we have been programmed a bit at Everton into having one main striker and a bit part back up, its different at CL clubs, i see absolutely nothing wrong with having three really top prospects up front especially if we play with two, and you aspire for Europe and runs in the cup while competing in the PL. He might also enable a 4-3-3 at times, kind of like how Utd set up. We are down a body with Niasse and anything could happen with Sandro, but it wont be here.
Edouard is a good investment. Ive seen him a lot, he has a broad skill set, he can finish, hes powerful, he can play the British style, is aggressive, he has pace, but more importantly he can create and assist he is a clever player balancing that out with goals. He can also play upfront on his own and of the shoulder. Thats a skill set that would be useful to have in our squad and hes is still developing, he still has terrific potential.
Is he essential probably not, is he ripe for the picking absolutely. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Leicester or Arsenal though.
