Are you kidding? 90% of people would jump at the chance to sign Cavani.

I dont even know which percentage I would be in either.
I've said this many times and I'm sure you're aware of my feelings by now, but when you're probably a good two years away from being at the level you want you should only sign players who will still be at their peak at that point. Allan is right on the border, Cavani obviously past it, James and Bale are both question marks as well. So when you're looking at those kinds of guys the money really has to be right or you're going to be hitting the spot you want to be and immediately have the problem of trying to find someone new to maintain it.

Could've said the same thing about Ancelotti.
God when will people stop saying this. Like it or not Ancelotti came here because he was running out of options. It wasn't totally fair to him, but he had left Real Madrid, Bayern and Napoli with the board/owners unhappy with him. He came here because we gave him a reasonable chance at success and we were ready to do it. It was unbelievably perfect coming together of circumstances.

So while yes, most people didn't think we would get Carlo there was very good reason for that. And the same is true when they say it about a lot of these players, because the perfect mix is just unlikely to happen.

Running out of options, ha ha brilliant that.

The Italian media were saying he’s never joining us, he’s heading to Canada to spend Christmas with his wife. And will wait till the summer, when he will have plenty of options.

But guess what, he dropped all the join a club just outside the relegation zone, was that really a last option for a man of his calibre, come on.

Madrid, plenty of successful mangers get sacked there, it’s the way it is.

Napoli is a basket case of a club and look at them
Now, I’m sure they are regretting sacking him.

Bayern?

He could have gone to Arsenal and whether we like or not they are a bigger club than us. And he loves London, lived there before, he will go to Arsenal, they said.
No he didn’t.

Yep look at Sheffield Utd - 5th in the table with a team of absolute dossers but they are gritty and physically bully teams.

Get some proper players in not afraid of a battle with a winning mentality.
Their system works...for now. A newly promoted team rocking the apple cart is nothing we haven’t seen before, but they will get found out and second season syndrome is a very real thing. Unless they invest big money in the summer we’ll see what they’re actually like next season

Exactly.

Fair enough to them, they're doing a job on most teams.

However if they do it again next season then we can hold our hands up and say well played truly.
