Bale didn’t win a game with Spurs until he was torn a new one by Seamus at GP. Had to be subbed at HT due to being traumatised. I still believe to this day that, that 2-2 game was the making of Bale

I thought it was just a coincidence that they didn’t win and when moved into midfield or on the wing, he developed into a world class pkayer

We must have someone lined up we wouldn't be moving Morgan if we didn't. Especially with the Gbamin injury. And yes Todibo is a very Brands signing and can cover DM and CM but not block Holgate because he won't expect to start every game.

...I agree about the situation regarding Schneiderlin, he’s been getting game time because he’s one of the few we have who sit in front of the back four. If a Schneiderlin is going, I‘d think a replacement is lined up (although it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s the Dutch lad rather than Hojberg).

For once, I’d be disappointed if Brands wants Todibo. I’ve been very disappointed in what I’ve seen from a quality and attitude perspective, although i accept Brands is a far better judge than me.

Got this sneaking feeling we are going to get Højbjerg and Brands is clearing the decks for a bid.

Clubs that have an interest in Hojbjerg, and there may be a few, would be better off leaving it late to get him. He’s got one year left on his contract and Southampton aren’t going to let him run his contract down.

The papers are talking about 30 - 40 million pound valuations but Southampton aren’t in a position to bargain. Leave it late and the buying club will get him for 15 - 20 million, maybe even less.

A perfect Daniel levy buy, at an hour before deadline closes

...I know, but I also understand why he gets game time. Our back four have little or no athleticism, so they have to be protected or else they are severely exposed.

Agree with your point in general but the "protection" he provided was non-existent, in my opinion

Another article for anyone who cares about stats.

TLDR is Hojbjerg is good value for money, Soumare and Sangare are both high ceiling guys who can make an impact straight away and probably would make us money longer term and Denis Zakaria is a stud who we probably don't have the money or stature to actually sign.
