Discipline is great... it would be nice to keep the ball more than 2 seconds. Garner and Gana is zero level football! We started off like a house on fire, then regressed back to our old ways.
Definitely need another before I feel safe.

I like to imagine how good we could be playing like this but with wingers actually suited to breaking and winning 1v1 in wide areas
Gana definitely needs to be our first sub!Discipline is great... it would be nice to keep the ball more than 2 seconds. Garner and Gana is zero level football!
Who with?Would sub Gana, he's a walking second caution.
Yep need to get hold of the ball moreThis has 1-1 written all over it.
Clear foul no question. It was outside, so a free kick. VAR doesn't interfere there unless it was foul that should follow a possible red.
Great news.Played with the U21's the other day.
I don't think the young 'uns liked having old man Coleman cramping their style, but at least it means he's one step closer to returning.

Absolutely not for me.
Just a coming together of shoulders between Veltman and McNeil. So correct decision.

'Everton protecting what they have'
Everton 1-0 Brighton
Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Goodison Park
At the moment it really has settled into a pattern of attack v defence. Brighton dominating the ball and Everton sitting deep.
Everton are just sitting back and protecting this one-goal lead. They had been looking to contain and break but that has gotten less and less as this half has gone on.- Posted at 15:4515:45

Everton 1-0 Brighton

Everton are doing well to snuff out any Brighton danger here.
Striker Evan Ferguson has barely had a kick because the colossal Jarrod Branthwaite is handling him out there.
He doesn’t have vision and is indecisive so ends up running into a cul-de-sac and loses the ball. Work rate is top notch but needs to get that ball out earlier and maybe play an easy pass to keep possession.Harrison is shocking offensively, works hard but loses the ball every single time .
Works hard off the ball and never leaves the fb outnumbered which is good, but it would be good if he didn’t have to run backward all match because we actually had some possession
