Seeing as Palace have history.. stealing the odd point or two at our place.. we should be almost grateful we played so well and got something from it. Couldn't see Palace scoring (at least not first!) and the goal came from a lucky breakaway which ended in a corner..

No. Absolutely not.
We need to be decisive in these games. We need to win, plain and simple.
Being "almost grateful" for a point is not acceptable when you look at who we've got in our squad. Palace are a mid to low table side whichever way you spin it and if we want top four, we have to be winning these games. What are we going to do, pick up some points at the Emirates instead?
It doesn't matter if it just 'isn't our day', we need to be able to make it our day.
To be fair we are well capable of winning all 4 games but it doesn't work like that especially for us. So yes, would take 10 points no doubt about it.

tbf, it's grim for every team (bar Leicester). Nobody is really taking the bit between their teeth and saying 'this title is mine' (bar Leicester). Thus, with 23 (!!) games to play, 'grimness' is a relative term.

Just on the way back home. one of those days when I thought we'd never score. 3 times hit the woodwork and a wonder save out of Cleverly. Rom is utterly fantastic. Annoyed not to get the 3 points but after the last 2 times they've been here I'll take it.

We had a chance to close the gap and we fluffed it. Pathetic.
Palace fan here, in peace. Terrific game - you were the better team overall but we defended really well and created a few good chances (plus two good penalty shouts). In the end, probably a fair result, though no doubt we're happier with the point than you guys. At least you didn't lose 3-2! Good luck for the rest of the season - you've got a terrific attacking team and deserve success.
Some have said in recent weeks that we've no chance of 4th etc. I've said myself that results like at Bournemouth away last week are the reasons why we won't get 4th. But this year its there for the taking. The 'top' teams aren't all that and we are creating many chances. Get tighter in defence and we can give it a go this season. Win 3 on the bounce and we're right in it.
As are Leicester, but come on.
Regardless of how impressive they might be, Palace are mid table. They'll always be mid table. They've got a few good players, but really, who (goalkeeper aside because I'd have anyone but Howard) are you going to take in place of one of ours? Our side should be beating theirs and that's just that.
