Doesn't matter how we perform. I love the way that we're playing but I would not care if we went Hyper-Stoke (under Pulis) and the ball spent more time in the air than on the ground if it meant that we won.

Any reasonable person would have us down to finish above Palace having watched that. They are currently 6th and are a decent side. But we are better. Barring injuries our league position will improve considerably yet.

Palace fan here, in peace. Terrific game - you were the better team overall but we defended really well and created a few good chances (plus two good penalty shouts). In the end, probably a fair result, though no doubt we're happier with the point than you guys. At least you didn't lose 3-2! Good luck for the rest of the season - you've got a terrific attacking team and deserve success.

Results come first in an overall context in a league system. That's why they are so much more predictable than cup competitions. If we went Hyper-Stoke we wouldn't win. This system is more guaranteed of success in the long term.

I WILL say that was some of the most attacking football Ive seen Everton play in a long long time. Not with the shots but the movement around their area.

Disappointed with the result but not the performance. Play like that every week and we'll win more than we lose/draw.

I'd take Dann at the centre of defence in a heartbeat. Strong defender, good in the air and dangerous at set pieces. Their whole defence were good to be fair - we ended up trying to walk it in a lot of the time, largely because they were closing down so well we couldn't get a shot away

Very frustrating not to win after a performance like that. I think one of the biggest frustrations is if we don't capitalize on the young players we have we are going to lose them to richer clubs very soon :0(

Mirallas should have been brought on during the last 20 mins for Kone who was clearly tired and not offering much at the time. Mirallas might not be popular but he does offer a cutting edge. He hasn't really been given a fair chance on the pitch this season.

We are still struggling to keep clean sheets.

Have to say Barry has been brilliant !

Good to see Rooney there with his boy.

He's a very good defender (despite the gift he gave to Defoe recently). And he scored the winner against RS

You come out the ground and you just think how in God's name have we not won that?
Palace look decent but were set up to spoil, and unfortunately we just didn't break them down alot of the time. Dann is class,and defending at that corner was rubbish.
However, in the name of fairness, it was the groundsman's fault cos the bar at the Street end was 4 inches too low, and the post at the Park end was 6 inches out. So there.

Kone not offering much? He was very, very good tonight....always offering for the ball, neat interplay with Lukaku and tireless tackling back. He has the attitude that Mirallas lacks.....Mirallas has work to do to get a sniff in this side at the minute.

Just watched the match on TV after coming home and to be honest, I am a bit depressed that once again a splendid attacking display was totally undermined by non existinent defending of a set piece or innocuous cross.

We can forget about the top four if we are going to continue gifting the goals which have cost us four points in the last two games.
